“Nice place, good view of the train line”

Room was good great view of the famous train line, we turned up 1 day late due to extending our stay in Kandy, people was friendly

Very nice location, with amazing view from the room/balcony. Rooms were very clean and with mosquito net. Tea/coffee as we arrived. Breakfast was plenty full and tasty. Owners were kind and helpful.

The location is amazing—just a short 4-minute walk to the main road and the train station in Ella, yet secluded enough that it remains incredibly quiet and peaceful. It is a family-run business, and you can truly feel the warmth and care they put into their property. The rooms are renovated, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast they served was very good. It's a wonderful place to relax!

Home stay style of accommodation. Room was clean comfortable with a view of the train track below from balcony was cool. Breakfast was great with large servings. Staff was very friendly and polite.

“Best Breakfast, great hosts, fantastic location”

Fantastic location, short walk to main St in Ella, views of Ella Rock from the balcony. We could sit on the balcony and watch birds, monkeys etc. Breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka!! So much food, we didnt need to eat again until night.

Perched on a height above the main road, this property offers a quiet retreat while still being conveniently close to the town centre - about a 10-minute walk, or a quick tuk-tuk ride if you prefer. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, with a refrigerator, kettle and a standing fan. There’s no air-conditioning, but honestly, in Ella’s pleasant weather, you won’t need it. One of the best moments here is sitting out on the verandah early in the morning, sipping your tea while listening to the gentle chorus of chirping birds - pure bliss.

The host was lovely, the view was gorgeous, and the location was in the middle of Ella which was close to everything.

The room was spacious, clean and was described as the listing. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the view of Ella Rock from the deck outside the room. Bonus was the railway line as well. The owner and family were so welcoming. The location was good making it overall very good value.

Great location. Walking distance along the railway to the center. Beautifull view on Ella rock from the large terrasse overlooking the famous railway. Quiet room that has all you need,. no AC but fan. Basic facilities. A small effort could make this house a prime location. Owner super friendly and helpfull. Decent breakfast, mix SL and continental. Value for money.

We were very warmly welcomed and felt a warm welcome throughout our stay, we were provided with assistance with excursions, and the host also recommended a wonderful restaurant nearby, where the food was truly delicious. Beautiful room with a balcony, a charming view. Very tasty and rich breakfast.

We loved Royal Vantage! We originally booked 1 night but loved it so much we booked a further night. The location is beautiful really close to the Main Street but still quiet at night. Ishara arranged birthday decorations and flowers for my girlfriend’s birthday which was lovely, he helped us with laundry and a taxi to our next location and the breakfast was so good! 5/5 thank you so much we highly recommend!

This place was lovely with a beautiful view. Nice big room. Staff very friendly, welcoming and informative. The breakfast was served outside at their home and it was huge and so peaceful. The walk into the centre was literally 6 minutes walk down the railway track which we could see from our room. Would definitely recommend

Very good location close to train station and main road but still in very quiet area. Room very comfortable and thought through. Very delicious breakfast, probably the best during our travels.

“Room with a view!”

We stayed for two nights in this lovely property with the most incredible view! The room was very comfortable with a big bed, a/c and a huge balcony. A lovely breakfast was served including western and Sri Lankan dishes. The location is fantastic, quiet and peaceful but just a short walk down the train tracks to Ella (bring a torch!). The hosts were incredibly kind and gentle people. Waking up early and watching the birds swoop over the trees from the balcony is one of my favourite memories from our trip.

The location is amazing, 2 min walk from the Main Street. But at the same time really quiet.

“Brilliant stay in Ella!”

Location was great - around a 4 minutes walk to the main road with all the restaurants. Also loved being on the train tracks. Room we had was massive with a big balcony which overlooked the train tracks and we could watch the famous train go past. Room also had everything you needed. Staff were so lovely & couldn’t do enough for you! Made a really nice (& big!) breakfast in the morning which was yummy.

“Wonderful hosts in a fantastic location”

Amazing location, right on the railway tracks and easy walk into Ella centre! We are so glad we stayed here. The hosts are so kind, responsive and friendly. They helped us with our laundry and organised our onwards travel. Delicious breakfast too! Highly recommended.
