Amazing breakfast, beautiful views. Property was very clean and the host was incredibly kind and welcoming. One of us was very unwell and they let us check in at 10am in the morning, offering help if needed. Small shop for essentials at the top of the stairs. Short walk into Ella from the property or plenty of TukTuks if needed.

Absolutely brilliant view, very friendly and cordial hosts. We could easily reach out to them with any of our requests, and got them solved instantly.

Very nice place to stay in Ella with an amazing view of Ella Rock and Small Rawana Waterfall. Wonderfull hostess. The accommodation is about a 20-minute walk from the city center. The walk can be a bit tiring as it goes steeply uphill, but the lovely views from the house make it well worth the effort.

Quite and nice place, balcony view is spectacular 👌 with mountains and cliffs all around the cottage, hosted lady is so friendly and welcoming...glad I chose this place for a overnight stay

Beautiful view of mountains and waterfall! Owner was exceptionally friendly and attended to our needs. You can hire a scooter from her to make your Ella experience extra special (works out much cheaper than getting a tuk-tuk every time). Every morning the owner brings you a nice breakfast with a smile.

Amazing host, the breakfast she made was so delicious and different each day. The room is set overlooking the ella valley and a waterfall. It was such a peaceful and comfortable stay, missing it already! The perfect hideaway and close enough to walk down into the town!

had a fantastic stay at rokky hill. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. From the balcony, we enjoyed a beautiful view, including the stunning Kitthal Ella Waterfall, which made our mornings even more special. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with delicious options to start the day. She also guided us on the best places to visit and even arranged a rental scooter for us, making it much easier to explore the area. Overall, our stay was truly enjoyable, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience!"

“Ella’s best view and breakfast!”

The guesthouse has so much character, a real treat when most places are quite plain & boring; Khanchinna’s fun character shows in this ☺️ This bedroom has the best view, comparing it to other places in Ella it really does have a truly splendid vista over to Ella rock, Ella gap and a beautiful waterfall which you ca hear from bed. It is a little out of the centre of Ella, which is great to avoid the hustle & bustle of the tourist chaos, and the pollution. The room is simple: one double bed with mosquito net, good clothes hanging, a couple side tables, and a small fridge; and a simple bathroom also. The main takeaway point is definitely the balcony with its view, we spent most of our time sitting here taking in the views of the surrounding hills, waterfalls, train view, and at night the amazing stars! The host is so wonderful & sweet and made us feel so very welcome, she is an incredible cook also, so the included breakfasts were some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka! There’s a little shop and restaurant a stones throw away too.
