“Unforgettable stay”

The cottage is located short distance from Ella’s centre (30 mins walk/short tuk tuk ride), which means it’s really peaceful- all you can hear is wildlife. The views are stunning- we’ve spent 4 nights here and got up every morning to watch the sunrise from the balcony. We’ve seen so many animals we’ve never seen before- species of birds, fireflies, and a few monkeys. The host is lovely and looked after us so well. She gave us different breakfasts every day and they were delicious- her husbands’ hoppers were the tastiest we had so far. She arranged a really good tuk tuk driver for us and found a guide to help me get to Ella rock, also insisting that I take a packed breakfast. She also helped with laundry. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable. It didn’t get too hot, the beds were comfortable and the balcony a wonderful feature. There’s also a little kitchen which I didn’t expect. There’s quite a few restaurants short walking distance from the cottage- the closest is Freedom cafe only a few meters to the left. We ate there every night we stayed here- it’s run by a wonderful family and the food is fresh, delicious and served quickly 😊 they even taught us how to make rottis and took us to a nearby waterfall. All in all we had a wonderful time here- good people, stunning nature, and comfort. I’d recommend to anyone wanting to visit Ell!

The Superior (new) villa was comfortable but was missing items like fridge and gas for the stove in the kitchen, it had a lovely terrace with a good view over the valleys and was 5 minutes tuktuk ride to the station. We spent a night in this and the villa next door and overall the price is reasonable.

We had a very lovely stay at Racy Nature Cottage in Ella. The hosts were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpfuly. They supported us with everything and even arranged tuk tuks for us. The breakfast was very delicious, including tea, coffee, and fresh pastries - a perfect start to the day. Everything was clean and well maintained. For four people, the space was a bit limited and there wasn’t much storage room, but overall we felt very comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay.

The room was very comftable and clean. The view from the private balcony was stunning. Our host was lovely, always making sure we have everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared every morning. Definitely recommend this place.

“Like visiting family in Ella with an amazing view”

Wow, Ranjani made this place feel like visiting family. She welcomed us with coffee & cake in the afternoon when we arrived and was helpful with all our questions. She brought her own adult son’s toys for our kids to play with. She even cooked us a delicious home cooked meal (kottu, chicken curry & dhal) for our whole family of 4 for 2800) when we spontaneously asked her for it. The home stay also included very good traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and there was plenty of it. She even offered us fruit & tea (including) in the afternoon. Also, she recommended us a very nice view point only locals seem to know about. But the best thing was the sunrise and the view from our private terrace which was absolutely outstanding. Especially the bird sounds early in the morning. We’re so glad we chose this homestay, we hope we can come back one day. Thanks for everything

Quiet with fantastic views and walking distance to some fantastic restaurants The family was so friendly and welcoming and they helped organise a fantastic tuc tuc driver who took me around the area and to places less known It was very comfortable and the breakfasts were great and large I highly recommend this place and it was so cheap

The host was very accommodating and the place was extremely clean. I made the booking for my mom and aunt to have a small holiday. Host was extremely helpful, she organised them transport, dinner and lunches during their stay. According to my mom and aunt, host was very approachable and friendly. Great location and cosy setting. Beautiful view of Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock. Lovely owner's and yummy breakfast. For a small fee they also did some laundry for me.

“Favourite stay in all of Sri Lanka!”

Everyone says this but I can assure you this is the best accommodation we've stayed at during our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. There's a lot of fake 5 stars around in Sri Lanka but this is not one of them. -Stunning views -Away from the centre but close enough to tuk tuk in or walk - Hosts are AMAZING. Racy and her family really are so sweet. They bring you tea and biscuits regularly, check in to make sure things are ok....and the food is incredible!!! With this being Sri Lanka we've had curry every day and the dinner we just ate was the best we've had so far. Then there is the breakfast aswell. Pancakes, fruit, eggs. Pretty much whatever you ask for, Racy will make and it's all delicious. - It's the nicest room we've had during our trip and by far the comfiest bed. Had our best night's sleep here! (And our first place with a hot shower) I could honestly go on and on, there's too much to mention. Do yourself a favour and book this if you're in Ella, you won't regret it. Thank you to Racy and the family, they really were the best and you've created a wonderful place for people to visit. 🤗
