Squeaky clean, room is spacious, comfy bed, beautiful view, the hosting family is amazing! Everyone is very gentle and funny, they offered an amazing breakfast. You can also order lunch and dinner they have a little menu. Dining room is very cared for, bright and sunny also with stunning view. The house is on the road so expect some horn noises. Didn’t really bother us too much, we slept like babies. Hosts replay through WhatsApp very quickly. Helpful if any information is needed. If ever back to Sri Lanka surely back at their place. Thank youuu

Amazing accommodation with a beautiful view and outstanding hospitality. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming from the very first moment of our arrival. We are especially grateful for the breakfast prepared for us at 3 a.m., as we had an early departure and they kindly packed breakfast for us to take away. If we ever have the chance, we would definitely return and highly recommend this place to everyone.

I had a very nice stay at Pleasant View Homestay. The hosts were extremely helpful and understanding when we decided to shorten our stay, and they handled everything smoothly and without any issues. The food was delicious, and the views were truly beautiful. A very pleasant and comfortable place to stay in Ella.

Wonderful stay with exceptional hospitality

Really lovely and attentive staff and a very comfortable room, probably the best night sleeps I had in Sri Lanka!

Patio outside our room overlooked Ella Town and was surrounded by greenery and cheeky monkeys. Loved the scenery, cosy ambience and comfortable seating in patio. Hosts provided breakfast as part of the package. Breakfast was delicious and substantial. Furnishings in room were basic but clean. Host thoughtfully provided extension cord to allow us to charge multiple devices simultaneously.

Beautiful view. Varied breakfast. Friendly, helpful host family (and the father likes to chat 😁) Great WiFi. Very quick and good laundry service. Separate entrance although homestay, so more privacy. Fridge and watercooker available in common area.

“Very lovely family with lots of hospitality”

We spent a week with Ravindu and his parents at Pleasant View and I have to say: although we often experienced hospitality in Sri Lanka, this was by far the warmest and friendliest family we stayed with during our two-month trip. We really felt at home. The breakfast is excellent, varied and they always paid attention to what we liked to eat - not to mention the marvellous view from the breakfast table! We were also brought tea, sweets and bananas in the afternoon on both days that we spent in the accommodation due to bad weather. We were able to experience how families celebrate New Year in Sri Lanka and were even invited on this day to dinner - all without any expectation of anything in return. Even after we had already checked out, we were given a free food pack for the journey! So much friendliness and hospitality is exceptional, even in Sri Lanka 😊 The room is also very nicely furnished, the bed is very comfortable and when you wake up in the morning, you can look directly into the Highlands. The bathroom is clean and there is hot water. The distance to the city (about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk) is also manageable. We were allowed to rent Ravindu's scooter and were also able to order a tuk-tuk very cheaply from Ravindu's friend at any time. To summarise: One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka! We would love to come back next time 😊

We had a very pleasant stay here. The family is really lovely, the room was big and clean and the breakfast was good! It’s a bit out of town but you get a great view and they helped us with providing a nice tuktuk driver.
