“Great place in Ella”

We had a great stay at Green Hearts Ella and the hotel is amazing. The view from the balcony is incredible and the bed is very comfy. Praveen (the host) was super helpful throughout our stay and offered us a lot of lifts into Ella central and from the station. The set up on the balcony was also great, with comfy chairs and a great spot to have breakfast. The other host Roshan was also very responsive if we had any questions.

The view while having breakfast on our balcony was just amazing. They have a tuktuk to get you from A to B. The hosts are the nicest peaple and its clean. It's not in the center of ella, but you only need 10min walking and therefore ist quiet.

Really beautiful property nestled into the mountains - the host always arranged tuk tuk rides whenever I needed to go into the town centre. It was beautiful to wake up to so much nature!

Beautiful place n clean n great location for people wanting to stay in quiet places

From the moment the booking went through Roshan stayed in contact with us with clear, polite messages that made the whole stay feel organised before we had even arrived. When we got there, Thisara also looked after us and acted as our tuk-tuk driver, and having one person we trusted for lifts made a big difference because he would take us anywhere we needed to go and then pick us back up without stress, usually within five to ten minutes of us messaging, which felt like the opposite of standing on the roadside negotiating prices while your day ticks away. The property has a price list for drop-offs and returns, and seeing the costs set out up front kept everything simple, so we chose to use the stay’s tuk-tuk service rather than haggling with drivers in town, and that choice gave us more time to enjoy Ella instead of turning every trip into a small maths lesson. The balcony view was the kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence, because we looked out over jungle and waterfalls and kept spotting wildlife without even leaving the room, including monkeys, toucans, squirrels, mongoose, and loads of tropical birds, and it felt like nature had decided to put on a schedule-free show right outside our door. Inside, the space was stunning, spacious, and clean, with beautiful décor, lovely wooden furniture, and lighting that made the room feel warm at night and bright in the day, and the bathroom and shower stood out for the quality of the finish and the overall standard, which matters after a long day of walking, sweating, and ending up with red dust in places you did not know existed. Getting into town was easy because it was only a couple of minutes by tuk-tuk, and if you walk and use Google Maps you can follow the route that brings you out near the track by Ella train station, which worked well for us and made the walk feel straightforward rather than confusing.

We had a very relaxing stay at the Green Hearts Ella. The room was spacious with a beautiful wood floor, a huge comfortable bed, and everything you need. Breakfast was delicious — served on the balcony with a stunning view of the lush tropical surroundings. The balcony itself is generous in size with two lounge chairs, perfect for unwinding with a cup of tea. The serenity and the view are picture perfect! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely wonderful — a real highlight of our stay. Although some construction work is ongoing, it never disturbed us at any point. We recommend this place with this incredible view. No City noise but in quick tuk tuk drive to downtown Ella.

“Peaceful”

We stayed here 2 nights in the room with kingsize bed and balcony. The room has a very big nice bed and a small coffee/tea station and refrigerator. On the balcony there is a small table and 2 stools - the breakfast is served here. I choose this room as the picture shows a nice big view off the mountain - unfortunately there is a tree that has grown a lot since the picture was taken, so the view is not as nice as expected. We could hear the waterfall but only seen it from the corner of the balcony - we therefore strongly recommend that the tree is cut back or new pictures are put in. The other room left of ours currently has a better view as no big tree is in the front. The served breakfast is fine and plenty food. The bathroom functions but be aware that the hot water is very very hot. The two stairs up to the rooms are outside the building and gets slippery when it rains. I recommend you try and make better stairs. The people running the place a very nice and helpful. We both nights took an arranged tuc-tuc to downtown Ella - a very lively city with lots of good restuarants and shops.

Everything was 10/10. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was great. Location was great it was just hard to get to but the staff made sure we got there good and let us use the tuk tuk for free.

Really beautiful room with an amazing view of Ella and waterfalls. The host made us a beautiful breakfast every morning that we enjoyed in the sun on our balcony. Very clean and comfortable - a nice place to enjoy the nature.
