Quiet location outside of town. Fantastic Views. Walking distance to restaurants nearby. Breakfast included. Helpful staff.

The view from this hotel is amazing and it is the best feature of it. Rooms are clean and simple. Breakfast was good and is served in your own room on the balcony, so you can still enjoy the view. It's far enough from Ella center, so you can't really walk to it, at least in the dark. But there are some restaurants and eateries next to hotel, so you can eat close to the hotel.

wonderful location with excellent views over Ella Rock. great to be out of town but steep walk back needs to be a tuktuk. lovely to have room breakfast on the balcony looking at that incredible view. charming people. ok for budget

The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning! We loved that the place is located in a quiet area, slightly away from the noisy and crowded center. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for peace and relaxation while still being close to everything

I guarantee you - the view from this hotel is the best in Ella. What's more, it will probably be the best view of your life, too :) Just awe-inspiring. You will see the valley a hundred kilometers ahead of you peeking from in-between steep green mountains. And a gorgeous WATERFALL, too. You will hear a faint whisper of the water from so far away as you fall asleep. It's like a poster image of all things beautiful on planet Earth outside your window at all times. AND you can take it all in while eating breakfast served to your room. A tasty one at that.

“Best view I have ever seen!”
The view from this place is outstanding! You get the morning sunrise, you can see a beautiful waterfall and even the train go by. The view is constantly changing as the clouds roll in and out. The owner was lovely and hard working and breakfast was delicious. It’s a clean home stay and the rooms and balcony quite spacious.

“Lovely views, good value for money.”
The view was incredible. I’d stay here again just for the view. The room was acceptable. Everything was a little damp, but I put that down to the heavy rain fall and moisture in the air. Beds and pillows comfortable. Bathroom was clean, Shower had hot water (bonus) Breakfast was lovely. Short Tuk Tuk ride into Ella but worth going up in the hills for the view.

We really loved our stay at Onestar Ella, I was so happy to look at the views right from my bed, the bathroom was clean and tidy, the room was quite big, the balcony is so big and has a bed outside to e joy the sunrise views and you can also see Ravana waterfall from the balcony. The staff is extremely sweet and helpful, they let us borrow their umbrella everytime we stepped out in the rain and they even called for tuk tuk ride on our request. They served us early breakfast at 7:30 when we were leaving for sightseeing. They don't serve food other than breakfast, but there are pretty good restaurants nearby. Also the location is on the hill but it takes less than 15mins by car or tuk tuk to reach the center or market area. Overall experience was pretty amazing!! I highly recommend other travellers to book their stay here.

1.5 km from the start of ella rock hike which we did with our 4 & 8 YO kids. Very nice breakfast and stunning view on the rock and on a waterfall
