We had a wonderful stay at Nethsara Cottage. We stayed in a cozy room with a beautiful view — truly a place where you can completely unwind. The breakfast was very varied, extremely generous, and prepared with great care, a perfect start to the day. The hostess was incredibly friendly and helpful. You immediately feel welcome, and nothing is too much for her. Thanks to the peaceful surroundings, we also slept very well here. In short: a fantastic place with a very warm hostess, delicious breakfast, and a stunning view. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Ella in a calm and authentic way. “Peaceful, super comfortable and best breakfast with such attentive host”

The host was excellent to take care of every detail of our trip from pre-arrival to post-arrival by staying in touch. We arrived after dark and she had made sure the tuk tuk was waiting for us at the train station. Freshly made Breakfast spread was the best we had in our entire trip! The rooms were well equipped and beds were very very comfortable. Location was secluded and we loved the view accompanied by birdsongs.

“2 nights in the calm surrounding of Ella”

We stayed here for 2 nights on our trip through Sri Lanka. The cabin is lovely, everything you need is present, and the views are wonderful. The host is very helpful and friendly (better to use WhatsApp for communication as she uses translator in this way), and helped us with arranging taxi to next location and tuktuk to and from the center at better price. The breakfast is a great start of the day as well! Highly recommend staying here

“Beautiful valley views but beware mould problems.”

Beautiful views across the valley from the balcony on the outskirts of town. Beds were comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Madam is very friendly and super quick to respond on WhatsApp which also helps with any language problems.

Beautiful stay at the cottage. My kids loved going up and down the hill on the tuk tuk. Clean beds, great breakfast and she even helped do our washing. Communication is done via whatsapp because her English isn't so well but that worked well. Anytime we needed a tuk tuk home from ella town, she was able to organise it

It was a large family room. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of food! We ate on a balcony overlooking the forest full of trees and birds. For the room rate, it was excellent value.

“One of the best if not the best place to stay in Ella.”

The property itself is amazing with the location and extremely pleasant to stay. With the restaurant down the hill and the spectacular night sky. But that's not the best thing about this stay, it's the host Madusha. She is simply the best host I've seen in my travel experience, this is despite the language barrier. Her food presentation and making sure the guest gets everything without asking. If there is such a thing as a perfect host then for me it's Madusha. I will definitely stay here again.
