“Loved everything”

Loved everything, especially the rooftop and breakfast. The rooms are clean. Although the WiFi is a little slow, I was still able to work comfortably. I even extended my stay here.

I stayed for two nights in a shared dorm. Everything was fine and I can recommend trying out the Roti they offer :) I also had breakfast included and ask for a lunch box instead, since I had to leave early in the morning. This was no deal. Thank you for everything!

This one was my favorite hostel in Sri Lanka. Loved the vibe, nice view, location, huge breakfast, good people, and the hammock:) The owner is super nice and kind as well.

“lovely vibes above Ella”

We absolutely LOVED this place! It's vibe is mainly made from Wood & other lovely little items are attached to make it feel good & organic, we felt home instantly. The upper setting is amazing & the higher terraces are just making it a relaxed safe zone, above from all the movements of the little town of Ella. It's not very quiet for sleeping, so be prepared. But the lovely setting, the outstanding price & the amazing breakfast (included!) def. makes up for it. Also try the rest of the menu: we loved it! I had a great stay at Hostal Tree House in Ella, run by a very kind and welcoming couple. The host even picked me up from the bus stand at night, which I really appreciated, and his wife kindly helped with my laundry as well. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm, and the place also has a lovely terrace café on the top where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The views are beautiful — tea plantations on one side and the railway tracks on the other. It’s also easy to cross the tracks and explore Ella town from there.

One of the most beautiful family business i ve stayed. Amazingly kind and helpful people. Free towel, free soap, free water coffee everything was top tier. I enjoyed so much playing with them karam. If i come back to nuwara eliya i would definitelty stay in there again. Close to single tree hiking area and temple. I love it. Istuti for everything

“Hands down the best place to stay in Ella!”

Hands down the best place to stay in Ella! The owner (and his wife) is such an amazingly nice guy and not only makes you feel very welcome, but goes out of his way to help. Honestly the most humble and kind person I've met in Sri Lanka 🙏 Tree House is perched up on the hill away from the noise and fumes of the town, but still extremely close to everything. Rooms are cozy, blankets and towels are provided, as is a small lockable cupboard for each bed. Bathrooms are clean with nice hot showers. The restaurant/common space is a great place to chill after a day of adventures and meet other travellers. There's no hard sell to buy food, you are made to feel very welcome to just sit around, relax and enjoy the space. That said, the food is delicious and much more reasonably priced than most of the other options in town. Breakfast is included and is both delicious and filling. I honestly don't have a single bad word to say about this place ...so glad I chose to stay here.

“Best Hostel I’ve had in Sri Lanka”

Everything was perfect, the location (you’re not in the middle of the streets and a bit above them so you don’t have the traffic and gaz), the place is just super chill to spend some time hanging out with other people or even by yourself. The wifi is actually pretty decent too, and the owners are adorable and always available. 100% recommend

Amazing place, less than two minutes from the train station, with lovely areas to relax and chill. The atmosphere is great and the hostel itself is really nice.
