“Incredible views ,amazing host”

Absolutely everything..but especially our host! Upali made our stay one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. From his freshly prepared (delicious) breakfasts,to dropping us off and collecting us in his Tuktuk, to giving us valuable information on the passing train times and local hikes/walks. The cabin has incredible views overlooking the 9 arch bridge and can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. It’s also close to a cafe with amazing view point (although you are staying in the BEST viewpoint ever!) and good food. It’s well equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay, 2 nights just wasn’t enough!

Upali is a genuine, caring and welcoming host. He was quick to offer help and fulfil all our needs. Upali picked us up from the Main Street on arrival, dropped us off and picked us up from where we went. It saved us alot of effort in finding locations eg start point of Adam’s peak/Ella rock. He also showed us around Ella. He made our first stop in Sri Lanka a homely and enjoyable experience. Thank you Upali! Breakfast was amazing. The spread was very good and food was fresh and yummy! We looked forward to the breakfast everyday The location of the property was great. It faces the nine arch bridge with direct stairway access. However as we can capture the view from our balcony, there was no need to join the crowd below! Though it is a 5-10min tuktuk drive to the Main Street, Upali makes sure to bring us to and fro thus it is not an issue. The area is comfortable and quiet. Cafe soul is just a few steps away thus there is no need to go out for food if we were feeling lazy

“Beautiful location. Beautiful stay with a well accommodating host”

This hidden gem is the best place to stay when visiting Ella. A private tree house style accomodation, right above the famous 9 arch bridge enables you to see everything from above, and situates you in the best spot to see the train coming through. The owners hospitality is unmatched, he generously offered to pick us up from Ella city after dinner, and bringing us back to the accomodation via tuk tuk. It was only a 10-15 walk uphill to the main road, or you could go directly down to the bridge from the front of the accommodation in approx 5 minutes and then walk to Ella city through a trail for about 20-25 minutes. The accomodation in itself was amazing, beautiful decor, comfortable atmosphere, more great views, and well kept and clean. The breakfast we were served in the morning was a delicious spread of local fruits, hoppers, sweets, yoghurt, fresh juice and tea/coffee. Thank you so much for your hospitality and service, this accomodation and your friendly service truly made our visit to Ella feel very special.

“Luxury overlooking 9Arches, a short walk to Ella centre.”

This was a simply beautiful property. An incredible outlook, directly over 9Arches. A wonderful shower, very hot. Very comfortable bedroom with a portable AC. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. Our host was kind, approachable and consistently went out of his way to ensure we were happy and enjoying our stay in Ella. The only improvement could be a screen door for some airflow during the night. Honestly, one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka. The staircase down to the bridge and immediate proximity of good cafes were also majorly appreciated.

“The most perfect place to stay in Ella.”

Upali and his family provide such an incredible experience at Green Nature Paradise. As it’s name suggest you are in the most beautiful setting above the famous bridge, stunning sunrises and sunsets and views for miles. Watch the train several times a day, walk across the bridge and grab a delicious meal at Soul cafe just below the cabin, it’s magical. The most delicious breakfasts ever……and trips back and fourth in Upali tuk tuk……. So kind. You won’t find better in Ella. Chill Cafe in town is sensational.

“Paradise”

What a view! The very first words out of my mouth were, “Oh my gosh, wow.” Don’t hesitate—book it. Upali’s hospitality was exceptional. He truly spoiled us at breakfast, with something different each morning. The fish curry, in particular, was tasty. If you like to keep your steps up while on holiday, this is the perfect place 😁 We travelled by TukTuk rental, and Upali kindly drove it to a safe spot at the top of the road for us each day. From the accommodation, we comfortably walked to Little Adam’s Peak and into town—it’s absolutely doable, but keep that for the morning. We also loved the visits from Kiki the dog (already missed!) and the cheeky kitty 🩷 Green Nature Paradise truly lives up to its name—an absolute paradise. Be sure to book.

Upali is an absolutely phenomenal host and made our stay in Ella!! Upali provided the most absolutely outstanding ( warm)hospitality, strong communication, immaculately presented tree house and the most calm, friendly and positive energy. He helped us navigate Ella, driving us around to wherever we needed whenever ( places we hadn’t thought about visiting even) . His breakfast is stunning and we looked forward to it each day. It was wonderful talking to him about the wildlife and Sri Lanka in general . The room was cleaned beautifully during our stay ( fresh bedding and towels) we had so much bottled water for free and very good shower and WiFi. The location is wonderful and so central and peaceful and calm but we would not have enjoyed Ella the way we did, without Upali and his unique and beautiful hosting. We really cannot say enough about him. We also loved our visits from sweet little kitty each day and the hospitality of the boys in the Soul Cafe!!! We really missed it when we left.

The views from the room balcony was stunning, the mountains, the tea plantations also all in front of me, the weather was unpredictable, sometimes was foggy and romantic, sometimes shining could see very far away. The host was really nice, taking me some places by his Tuk Tuk.

Everything! The host was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. He even drove us into town when we wanted to go for dinner and picked us up. The views from the cabin were fabulous and the cabin was spotlessly clean. Very generous breakfast !

Fantastic view over 9 arches bridge from the balcony and 2 min walk to stand on the tracks. Host super friendly will tuktuk you into town and then pick you up when you message him. Breakfast is excellent, served on the balcony. Photo on this review shows the room circled in red.

“Amazing stay, incredible views and host.”

The view was amazing, and less than a 5 minute walk down to the bridge. We loved the cosy little cabin amongst nature, where we could sit and relax and watch the daily trains cross the bridge. The breakfast (banquet) was so fresh and plentiful, delivered to our balcony each morning. We cannot express enough how wonderful the host Upali is. Upali picked us up from the station and would drive us anywhere we wanted, his service, hospitality and friendly attitude is truly appreciated and a credit to him. We would have stayed longer if we could.

Upali was a great host. He was super helpful from start to finish. The views from this place were breathtaking. They had a perfect view of the nine arch bridge. It was also extremely easy to walk down to the actual bridge, a walk we could see people hiking from a distance which was really good.

Upali is an amazing host and couldn't have done more for us! He knows the local area well and was on hand to give us tuk tuk rides to various places. This was our honeymoon trip and he has been the only host so far to make an effort (as you can see in the photos). The room is located is a prime position for views and is well equipped and comfortable. Has been easily our favourite stay in Sri Lanka so far.
