Our stay at Green Cloud Villa was exceptional! Nestled amidst picturesque hills and lush greenery, this place is a true gem. The private terrace offered breathtaking views – from the up-close jungle scenery to the rolling hills in the distance and a charming temple atop a hill. The craftsmanship of the house is remarkable, and meeting the skilled carpenter who contributed to its beauty was a delightful part of our experience. The warmth and hospitality of the entire family across three generations was truly heartwarming. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Though a bit away from busy (and more noisy) Ella town centre, the villa is quickly accessible by tuk-tuk. The journey to the villa, navigating through the meandering dirt roads amidst the jungle, was definitely a memorable and fun adventure. We recommend coordinating a pickup from the cornershop on the main road in advance to ensure a hassle-free arrival. One highlight was undoubtedly the fantastic warm showers – consistently hot water, a rarity during our travels in Sri Lanka! Additionally, the breakfast spread was not only plentiful but also absolutely delicious. Overall, Green Cloud Villa provided a fantastic stay with its stunning surroundings, warm hospitality, and comfortable amenities. A definite recommendation for those seeking a serene retreat amidst nature's beauty.
