“Exceptional hospitality and breathtaking views in Ella.”
We had a wonderful stay at Fair View Cottage in Ella. The cottage is beautiful, very clean, and offers a stunning view that makes waking up in the morning truly special. The cottage is close to town, yet peaceful and quiet. What made our stay exceptional was Riyash. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. He shared great local tips and showed us some real hidden gems that made our visit to Ella feel much more authentic. Breakfast was another highlight. We had delicious fresh egg hoppers and a wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast that we enjoyed on the terrace with the amazing view. A small note: the cottage is located on a hillside with many uneven steps, so it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Overall, we highly recommend staying here.

Amazing views, lovely & cool temperature at night. Helpful staff especially Riyash. Breakfast was lovely sitting on the terrace. Slightly up a hill away from Ella’s Main Street so lovely & quiet except for the dogs & birds!

“A peaceful cabin in the trees away from Ella’s madness”
Very quiet and tucked away from the insanity of Ella strip. Loved bird watching in the morning. The bed was super comfortable. Rias, the host, was wonderful. So kind and helpful, nothing was a trouble, and he even got up to help us with our bags at 4am and made us sandwiches for our journey. So lovely.

The room has amazing view, very quiet and away from the busy main road of Ella. We woke up every day and admired a grizzled giant squirrel taking twigs from a tree. Breakfast is served on the veranda in front of the room. We opted for the Sri Lankan breakfast, and it was great on both days.

“Great spot for wildlife and relaxing”
We had a fantastic stay at Fair View Cottages. The wildlife was incredible, we saw so many beautiful birds, squirrels and even a mongoose. Riyash, the manager, really looked after us. His breakfasts were delicious. One evening he cooked us a traditional homemade curry, which was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. He also runs cooking classes. Recommend a stay, 5*

“Lovely peaceful stay in the middle of Ella”
Riyash, is a really friendly and helpful 'manager'. He was the guy who welcomed us, gave us tips and joined us on the 4am Ella Rock Hike. We really liked him around us, he made our stay even better. It's really nice that the Cottage (there are only 3 cottages, 2 couple ones and one family duplex) is in the centre of Ella, but in a peaceful environment, away from the busy city centre. The location is great! The breakfast was excellent! We could choose when to eat and they brought fresh breakfast to our cottage. Dahl, roti, fresh fruit, tea, fruit juice, ...

We had a wonderful stay in this great accommodation! The location was great and we were within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and famous sights. The cabin was very nice, comfortable, and simply cozy. We enjoyed the small terrace with its fantastic view every morning while having a delicious breakfast. The breakfast was very varied, authentic, and plentiful. The host (Kalai) was fantastic and always had an open ear for us. He also gave us good tips for activities in the region. Highly recommended! Thank you very much for the wonderful time there!

The host or the individual helping us throughout the stay was amazing. He definitely was doing the above and beyond. He helped us with nearby attractions, provided us a great Tamil style dinner and breakfast!

This cottage is exceptional! It was clean, comfortable, had all amenities and some extra (they even provided us with toothbrush and toothpaste) there was a big walk in shower also! The breakfast was exceptional the host even nicer! The internet connection is strong, there is a smart tv also! The upstairs room had a small balcony overlooking the green outside it was very relaxing! 10/10! I would return anyday!

The nicest host ever and most beautiful room. Everything was really nicely decorated and high quality. Deepal (the host) was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was amazing and brought to our veranda every morning at the time we arranged. We had a nice hotel organised for our stay but they turned out to be full so we booked Fair view cottage instead and couldn’t be happier with how it worked out.

“Great stay in Ellla”
This is a great place to stay. 5 minute walk from the main strip in Ella, but also very quiet with a great view. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful, and can’t do enough for you. The breakfast is unbelievable and fresh. The rooms are very spacious with everything you need, and the beds comfy. Highly recommended!

Exceptional service, very easy to arrange transport and tours from the hotel. I would also recommend using the guide available. Ella rock was great and also ask about the cooking class. They don't advertise this. Breakfast was exceptional. The accommodation is modest but comfortable.
