“Very cozy place with great hosts”

Amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to provide what we asked for. The place is in the yard of the hosts' house. 2 separate double rooms with shower and toilet in each. 1 room with 2 double beds. The kitchen is an outdoor kitchen where the owner of the house does wood-fired cooking workshops. The owners of the apartment specially bought a gas stove so that we could cook.

Semplicemente stupendo

Beautifully situated amongst the treetops, a little walk from the town (up a steep road part of the way) but the hosts offer tuk tuk for a small fee. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and accommodation was clean.

The breakfast was good. The hostess offered a cake on New Year 's morning - it was very sweet. The host was ours and drove us wherever we wanted in his tuk tuk for an additional fee. The hostess washed our dirty clothes for an extra fee. The accommodation was within walking distance of the city center.

Great location. The hosts picked us up from the train station, no waiting. They also fed us dinner with a last-minute request from us. Brilliant!

Simple double bedroom. Mosquito net. Working bathroom. Friendly hosts. Lovely pets. 15 min walk to Ella main road. Gym 5 mins on moped. Moped hire / washing available.

“Loved it 🥰”

Booked 3 nights stayed 5. We upgraded to the larger room with a great view. Hot water, fridge, fan, mosquito net, kettle. 10min walk to town. Nilmini and her family were so lovely. Generous breakfast, lots of information for tours etc. we even did her first ever cooking class. The food was so good and such an amazing experience. You don’t get recipes so take a notebook. We also had lunch there which was so delicious. Saved us a lot of money by telling us we could take a train to Nanuoya then taxi to Nuwara Eliya rather than a taxi the whole way. They also offer laundry and tuk tuk service. You can walk from the house to 9 arches beside the railway line, 30-45mins 1 way - see pic. You’ll need to look for the concrete stairs on the right hidden in greenery that takes you up to the rail line. We also hired scooters and drove to Buduruwagala temple and Dyaluma waterfall if you’re feeling adventurous. FYI scooter hire in Ella is per day not 24hrs. They also have a new puppy called Avocado 😄😉

“A lovely Sri Lankan welcome!”

The family were so kind to us - we asked to change rooms as we needed more space and they fid so with a smile. They also invited us to attend a local festival with them, taking us there and back in their tuktuk. The property itself is set back from Ella making it really peaceful at night. A wonderful stay!

“Great location,near to main road”

This is the most friendly and helpful family we have met during our stay in Ella. They genuinely care about their guests and are always attentive to what you need. We truly appreciated the breakfast they prepared for us each morning. It was also very kind of them to let us stay longer after our check-out time, which made our experience even more comfortable.

Lovely family hosts. 5 minute walk to train station and Ella centre just beyond. Good breakfast and can get an eve meal from the hosts too. Hot shower and good value for money.

“Fantastic stay with stunning views and helpful staff”

The staff were really helpful and always willing! We used their tuktuk services and booked a safari with them. We had a lovely breakfast, and generally just a really good stay. Absolutely stunning views when you wake up, even in the rain all the green trees and plants looked breathtaking! Great location, a 10 minute walk into the town. Would highly recommend!

“Surrounded by tea plantations”

This place is run by a wonderful family that makes every guest feel at home. The highlight is the stunning view from the terrace overlooking tea fields and the passing train. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and there’s hot water from the boiler, which is always a plus. Despite being near the road, the room was relatively quiet. Nights were chilly, but blankets were provided for extra comfort. Breakfasts were simple yet tasty, always served with fresh fruit. You can also ask the host to prepare a traditional homemade dinner, which I highly recommend. Her husband offers tuk-tuk transport, but I’d advise agreeing on the price beforehand to avoid any surprises. Overall, this is a beautiful place surrounded by tea plantations, and I would happily return. One of its biggest advantages is its proximity to the center—just a 5–10 minute walk, so no tuk-tuk is needed for those who enjoy walking. Great value for money

“Fabulous”

Brilliant location, you can walk to the centre of ella in less than 10 minutes. The host & family were very helpful with arranging tuktuks and giving us advice for activities. Great breakfast every morning. Would definitely recommend.

“Good lovely place”

Lovely and very brigth place !!!! Very clean and good equipment. Best hot shower. Owners very friendly give goods informations and find me a scooter. Breakfast is good and copious . Not far to Ella center.

Very welcoming hosts, enjoyed a pot of tea on arrival looking out over the beautiful terrace view. Breakfast was delicious & plenty of it! Family provided a laundry service which was ready the next day. Host took us to Yala in his Tuk Tuk & organised a jeep for the national park - great experience ☺️ location outside of main Ella strip but great if you want a peaceful & quiet stay/sleep.
