“Beautiful spot in middle of nature with best hosts”

The people working there were incredible, they were so friendly and went out their way to help us with everything. It was out honey moon and prepared a beautiful room, with flowers and one even sangre a song for us, they were so happy to receive us it was so special! They even sourced us a bottle of prosecco to celebrate and organised activities for us with quite short notice. They were always responsive on whatsapp. I could recommend them enough!

Truly felt like a part of the family. On arrival, I was walked to my room with a welcome drink and sang a beautiful song. Whilst it’s high in the mountains, there was always a tuk tuk to take you wherever you needed. But also a nice walk into town. I fell ill whilst I was there and the hosts even messaged me a couple of days after to check in on me!

Superb location in a secluded forest near to a waterfall only 15 minutes in tuk tuk from the center. Our cottage was very confortable with eco design and furniture. Very good breakfast and hospitality.

I really like the location and the nature vibe. The working ladies were also very nice and helpful.

“Relaxing cottage in the jungle”

The accommodation is in the middle of the jungle but accessible with Tuk Tuk. The pick up and drop off were included in the price but they were also quick to arrange a Tuk Tuk anytime we needed. Our cottage was well equipped and tastefully constructed and decorated. The staff was super helpful, kind and welcoming, always ready to help. The dinner and breakfasts were delicious and in great portions.

“Perfect Getaway in Nature”

The Cottage is the perfect location for a little getaway and if you prefer nature instead of city life! The staff is so friendly, they bring you all the food to your own table outside. We really enjoyed the stay.

Beautiful setting surrounded by nature with the sound of a nearby waterfall, completely removed from the touristy/crowded Ella town. Staff were great at taking us on walks and trips to Ella rock/waterfalls. Rooms very unique and tastefully decorated with excellent outdoor space to relax in. Yoga session was also brilliant.

Nature at it's best, really in the forest and close to one of the waterfalls. Noise from water falling was a nice 'white' noise during the night

Staff were so lovely, drove us in tuk tuk into town and were very hospitable and friendly.

We loved our time at Ella Retreat! Maybe our favourite place in Sri Lanka 😀 The cottage is beautiful and very connected to the nature, it felt very earthy yet luxurious. The staff were all so lovely and helpful, and were always there to help arrange a tuk tuk ride into town (and even to go to Little Adams Peak at 5am for sunrise!) or to give directions for a walk. We loved the yoga classes with the fantastic Ruwan and the cooking class. And thanks for helping to look after our baby, Manu! 🙏

“Relaxing rural retreat”

Peaceful rural location surrounded by monkeys. Cottage was clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely, friendly and so helpful. Yoga class by the waterfall was a highlight.

Everything was the best! Also local caretaker Kasun was such a lovely person that fulfilled anything we needed

The host and his family are extremely nice. They take care of everything you're asking for, they drive you anywhere for absolute honest and reasonable prices, and the breakfast was amazing.
