Great location Staff were wanting the stay to be as nice as possible - constantly checking in every-time I left the room and arrived… asking if I wanted a Tuk Tuk & what my plans were for the day.. Limited English made communicating a little tricky Cool to listen to rain on the roof, and be amongst the trees. Pleased to have room with air-conditioning and internet.

“Very calm and green stay in Ella”

Very nice place in Ella. Just a little 3 min walk from city’s centre you are in a very calm spot in the middle of the jungle. Room en bathroom is nice, comfortable and clean. Every morning they prepare very tasteful breakfast which is more than enough to start your day. Because you are surrounded by trees we could see monkeys during breakfast. The people who are working there are very kind and helpful. They helped arranging transport to different activities and it was possible to wash our clothes here. Definitely would recommend this place if you want a calm place which is still very close to the city’s centre.

“Excellent room and very helpful staff.”

A great stay, we only saw one staff memeber, but he was always avaiable and willing to help. We were given the choice newteen two very comfy room. The breakast was large and served on our balcony. The room was very modern with an excellent modern well apointed shower room. Once of the best rooms I have had during my Sri Lanka travels, with big balcony overlooking the woods with birds and monkeys.

“Pleasant, simple and affordable!”

Simple and affordable! Our host was so lovely and helpful throughout our stay. We had a private area, sheltered from the noise of the town. It made for very peaceful sounds of the surrounding natural areas. We also had breakfast included which was lovely to try a range of traditional foods!

The new apartment offered to us on arrival was spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. Super high ceiling, wall to wall sliding glass doors to the balcony and forest view. A family of monkeys made regular visits jumping from tree to tree. Little ones mimicking the adults were very cute. Great breakfast served daily and very friendly, helpful staff.

The spot was really great, close enough to walk to town but not too near the busy high street. The room was really nice with a great view, we felt very private and tucked away, oh and the stuff were super helpful.

It was located in the trees away from hustle and bustle of the noisy high street and could watch monkeys swinging and hear birds tweeting. Also just 500mtrs from town.

“For the nature lovers”

Sitting on my private balcony watching monkeys, hornbills, squirrels, and all the other critters in the greenery… bliss. It’s a very basic room but generously sized and clean. The bed was big and comfortable, and there was hot water in the shower. No air con but you definitely don’t need it, it’s very cool and shaded (and downright chilly in the mornings). Breakfast was really nice as well. The insane hill you have to walk up to get there is a bit of a pain, but worth it for the silence and the views.

“Too expensive for basic accommodation.”

This property consists of a number of rustic wooden cabins perched on the side of a hill overlooking a forest. Access from Ella Main Street is up a very steep hill and the cabins are reached via steep stone steps. It’s not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. It is convenient to access the train tracks to hike to Ella Rock. On arrival the bed sheets were damp and needed changing along with a dirty towel in the bathroom. The bathroom is very basic with an electric shower which unfortunately didn’t get any hotter than lukewarm during our 3 night stay. The top of the mosquito net above the bed was also covered in dead insects which needed cleaning. The ‘restaurant’ is two tables for 2. One overlooking the forest and it was fun to see a whole family of monkeys on one of the days while we had breakfast. Breakfast was good and filling.

The host are amazing and very kind. super welcoming. the room is clean and spacious and is immersed in the jungle. Still remaining few minutes from the ella city. Everyone was nice and helpful. We got great memories! 🥰

“Beautiful place with green oasis”

Look no further than this place if you want a lovely ,peaceful stay in ella. Everything was perfect. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable breakfast was delicious, Daya host really looked after me. I was given help planning walks transport and local visits. Hotel surrounded area very natural environment. Very close to Ella city. Highly recommend in other visitors

“Glad I was only there the 1 night”

The cottages were amazing. The experience of a jungle and always awake nature with occasional sounds of famous train. The host welcomed with tea and cake. He offered support for organisation of tuk tuk anytime and packed breakfast before 6am in the morning because we took the blue train early in the morning. Thanks to the host once again.

One of our best accommodation on our trip. Lovely helpful friendly staff, very clean room, absolutely beautiful balcony with the Green Environment. Loved having breakfast served on village model restaurant. Definitely recommend the location as it’s nice to be little out of the centre of Ella, only 7min walk into town.

“An Amazing Place in Ella”

Loved the place. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom and rest of the cottage was very clean and beautifully designed. Delicious breakfast served in the Balcony every morning. And above all Daya is a exceptional hosts, very helpful and responsive. They helped to buy a train tickets back to Colombo and even dropped us at the train station and made sure everything went well. Fantastic service and an amazing place! Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ella!

Overpriced. Maybe it’s an Ella thing but this was the most expensive place I stayed in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka and the most shabby of all. If it was 1/2 the price I would consider it value for the price but it wasn’t 1/2 the price. Sorry, but thats my 2 cents.
