When we arrived at this property and saw the hundreds of steps down the hill, I did wonder where we would be staying! But wow wow wow, the views were incredible, the cabin well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast on our balcony overlooking an incredible view of the valley below, accompanied by a local squirrel. The staff carried our luggage up and down the hill and helped us get transport in to town. It was an incredible stay. What a view!!!!!

Amazing location - you can see the sunrise directly from your bed through the big windows! The breakfast is served in your room at a convenient time for you and you can enjoy it on the balcony. Keep in mind the place is not "luxury", and has 40-50 very steep stairs before you reach the rooms. But definitely worth it! And watch out for the squirrels and monkeys on your balcony :)

The staff were so welcoming and really went out their way to make sure you were happy and comfortable. View was like a postcard, and having breakfast on the balcony each morning was just a treat. Location was perfect, close to the heart of Ella but far enough away to be able to enjoy the peace of the mountains. They helped organise Tuk Tuks whenever needed and even organised a driver for us to get to our next destination.

We loved our stay here, Dilshan was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed (breakfast, tuktuks, we even rented a moped and paid for washing which was appreciated). The view from the room is great and we loved the dog!

This property must have one of the best views in all of Sri Lanka, looking straight down the valley between Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak.

“Breathtaking views and magical nights, away from ibiza-like town”

THE VIEWS. I could sit watching the valley for hours. You cannot see any other house, just pure nature. From the bed, from the shower, the terrace, the chair... anywhere you look it's breathtaking. And at night...the sky lights up, and dozens of fireflies light up the tree next to the house. Magic. THE LOCATION. As it's 10 mins from the expensive, pretentious and ibiza-like Ella town (which can be skipped altogether) you have the best views of the valley, the mountains, and the stars. It's also great for an alternative start of the Ella Rock hike, just 1km from the house, just ask Dilshan for the starting point. THE FOOD. Yummy breakfast (English or SriLankan, we had both and I recommend the latter) prepared with care. They have refillable water bottles with free filtered water. They don't provide lunch but Ella River Cafe is 1km away and with great prices. Avoid eating in Ella! Avoid Ella altogether actually! THE STAFF. Dilshan is incredibly helpful and friendly, attended to all of our needs.

The venue is new with an amazing view. They have rooms for a small family and a big one. We had our breakfast at the balcony. The beds are big and the bathrooms as well. A nice waterfall is close by. Ella city is great.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Ella Camelot Hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt like a true premium experience. Dilshan, the manager, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He organized tuk-tuks for us whenever we needed them and even brought us breakfast himself. You could really feel how much he cared about making everything perfect for us. The view was simply unreal. Honestly, it was the most breathtaking view any of us have ever had from a hotel room in our entire lives. Waking up to that scenery alone was worth the stay. The room and the whole property were very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everything was smooth, relaxed, and just felt special. We would 100% stay here again and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ella.

Dilshan was an amazing host and truly made our stay special. He was incredibly kind and always went out of his way to help us with anything we needed. The stay itself was wonderful — a beautiful spot surrounded by nature, peaceful and relaxing, yet still very close to Ella city. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would happily come back.
