“Nice Stay, recommended”

Great breakfast, nice host, English communication not so easy though, still can be manageable. Location is a bit far. If you can walk 15-20mins to the centre, then it's ok.

The room was very spacious and clean. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating- breakfast every morning was delicious! They even accommodated us with laundry and to organise a tuktuk to the train station! The walk to town is about 15 mins and very doable. It’s also a great starting point if interested in doing Ella Rock hike - just make sure you download the All Trails app for the path!

This was our best home stay in Sri Lanka! The breakfast was incredible with a lovely view over the jungle. The family were also so lovely and it was in a great location. Would highly recommend

One of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka. Room is so bright and super clean, the view is fantastic, you can watch monkeys, squirrels, birds or just look at the mountains. Owner is really respectful and kind. Breakfast was super delicious, different each day, and we were really full and our bellies were happy each morning. Location also really nice, peaceful and it’s not really a long or hard walk to the centre, we walked to the centre and back each time, didn’t take tuk tuk not even once.

Very kind family. The Sri Lankan breakfast was nice and the (optional) dinner too. The room has everything you need.

The family is so lovely and the breakfast was 10/10. It’s a 15 minute walk from Ella, which was nice being out of the hustle and bustle there. Recommend this place.

What a great find this place is away from the hustle and bustle of the main town but within walking distance. Try the home cooked food its delicious and great value for money. The family are so lovely 😍.

The location is just perfect, a bit of a walk from town but in a lovely peaceful area and in a bright sunny spot with lovely views. The bed was very comfortable, with a fan, which is just enough in this climate. The room was not damp like other guesthouses we stayed in in Ella! Breakfast was the absolute highlight, freshly prepared and delicious. We felt well looked after by the hosts but not imposed on, their lovely son did a great job at translating whenever there was a language barrier. Perfect place to stay!

The host himself warmly offered us tea and cookies every time we came back. The room was in a fantastic jungle setting with monkeys nearby, but they never came onto the private terrace. The location was also great – close to town and still reachable by tuk-tuks and taxis, even via the narrow road. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The bed had a mosquito net, and the bathroom was very clean.

The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, featuring large beds with mosquito nets and a view of the trees. Our hosts were incredibly attentive, welcoming us back from our excursions with tea and cakes. The meals were excellent, and they also kindly took care of our laundry for a reasonable price. Although slightly out of the way, it offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and brings you closer to nature.

The hosts were really nice, and even put some of my stuff like a watermelon into their fridge. Breakfast was amazing and they even packed me a breakfast at 4am when I was going for a sunrise hike. Also, it is very quiet where you stay.

Amazing stay! The service was outstanding—everyone was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety and beautiful presentation. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Ella!
