Great peaceful stay just out of Ella city with amazing views. Maduranga and his wife were the friendliest hosts!! Honestly they were so helpful and the kindest people which goes so far! We preferred to stay outside of the busy city, but it was so easy as Maduranga insisted on arranging all tuk tuk and taxis at great prices, which made it easy for us to enjoy Ella and relax. And also the most incredible breakfast to start the day was provided. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Incredible view. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and there was so much! Only a 20 min walk into Ella via a short cut. You can walk to Ella rock straight from the property. Lovely and cool at night.

This was our second stay here and even better than the first. The cottage has everything you could need, it’s clean and the views wow! The breakfast is the best in Sri Lanka, so tasty and a big amount to fill you up for walking and exploring. The best thing is the host family, so kind and lovely. We can’t wait to come and stay again in the future, good luck with the new build 😊

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and felt welcomed from the very first moment. Maduranga and his wife gave us such a heartfelt and genuine welcome – you immediately feel at home here. The location is perfect, and everything about this place is made with so much love and care. The surroundings are beautiful, full of flowers and greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The dinners were always incredibly delicious, as was the breakfast. Everything was freshly prepared by Maduranga’s wife, and you could truly taste the love and effort put into every meal. This was without a doubt the best and most beautiful place we have stayed at during our entire trip. If we ever come back to Ella, we will definitely stay here again. We can highly recommend this place to everyone.

Astral Zone cottage was a super find so tranquil and amongst nature with views that are breathtaking its not in the main town but so easy to get to by tuk tuk that the host can arrange reasonably and for if you want sightseeing too .The host could not of done more to make the stay more perfect and the food both breakfast and evening meal was amazing, Room was clean and cozy and nice warm shower ,Kitchen area not greatly equipped by anything we requested were bought from the main house quickly, There is a great Organic Tea plantation to visit nearby too. I definately hope to be able to stay here again.

A great location but in the mountain sharply so we were driving a car and got complications in the evening cause buses and other cars come up and down so … but the rest was perfect - a good terrace with Mountain View , very hospitable owners, great breakfast and all what we need as toiletries , towels , separate kitchen . I recommend this place to stay

“Feel like home”

The host was the nicest person you can meet! Always with a smile, super humble and helpful. Goes well above and beyond! Cottage has everything and super clean! Really super clean! Very nice small entrance and complete peace for your stay! Home made breakfast by his wife was sooo amazing too! He really made us feel liek home eventough we stayed only a day. Also he was super flexible with checkin, we arrived early - No problem and no extra charge! Nice view as well! Not to the Ella side but still amazing view! 😊

“Cozy and relaxing accommodation in the outskirts of Ella”

The host family was very nice and they prepared really tasty food! We also liked to be a bit outside of the hectic central street in Ella. Was great to be able to start the hike to Ella rock directly from the accommodation!

Nice view, food is excellent, room is simple and clean and staff is very nice and welcoming. You can see the famous train passing from there.

We had a wonderful stay at the Astral Zone Cottage! The location is very private and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating — he even warned us in advance about taxi drivers in the area who overcharge tourists, which we really appreciated. His attentiveness made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with excellent hospitality!

The owner of this cottage is incredible - so friendly, always reachable for his guests and very supportive. He organized Tuktuks for us and gave us great recommendations what to do around Ella (e.g. he send us instructions with photos how to get on Ella Rock or where to do a great cooking class). The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka, it was a lot and selfmade by the owners wife. The cottage was very clean and cute, we loved the view. We wanted to stay longer. 100% recommended!

Extremely helpful and friendly family who did everything to help us. Comfortable room and a truly exceptional dinner served to us on the veranda. Helped us to arrange transport to the station. Lovely gardens.

Amazing! Astral zone cottage is one of the most wonderful places in Sri Lanka. The cottage is extremely clean and has everything you need! But what stands out are the hosts: very helpful and kind, not pushy at all and they prepared us meals (both breakfast and dinner) we will still dream about in the future. Don’t hesitate to book this accommodation, it is heaven on earth! Amazing WiFi!

The tranquility and peace is wonderful. Maduranga (our host) was very attentive and the breakfast and dinner were lovely. The accommodation is close to Ella Rock and Maduranga arranged a guide to take us up.

A beautiful little cottage in a stunning location. The hosts are the kindest people you will meet, nothing is too much to help with. The property is about 15min to the main town but there are places to walk near to have food and also a wonderful 20min walk on the railway into town or the other way a longer walk to Ella rock. The host helped us with cheap tuk tuks, taxi onwards and advice on where to go and what to do. We had dinner at the cottage which was amazing and the breakfasts were the best we had in Sri Lanka! The cottage has everything you need and is homely and comfortable, you won’t get bored of the view and surrounding wildlife, we sat for hours watching the birds. Highly recommend this place and we really hope to return in the future.

We loved our stay here. It was a perfect little cottage with beautiful views outside. The owners wife made us a delicious home made Sri Lankan breakfast as well.
