The breakfast was outstanding and the view is amazing as the sun rises. You can also catch a glimpse of the train heading into Ella too.

The room is very nice, you have a very nice view and can enjoy the early sunrise. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always there to assist you. You can walk to Ella centre (approx. 25minutes) but keep in mind from Ella to Aloft the road is uphill. You can always take a tuk tuk of course.

The place is very nice, well maintained and has an amazing view. We stayed there for 2 nights, which was not enough! On the first day I fell on Ella rock, and unfortunately I had to go to the hospital. The owner went with us and stayed with us the whole day! He and his family were very kind and caring for us, which we cannot thank them enough for. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Wow what a view. It is as good as it looks on the booking platform. If you like out of the way and peace and quiet it is for you. Big bed, really comfortable, wonderful large terrace so even if it is raining (which we had) you can still sit outside and soak in the atmosphere. Easy walk to restaurants for evening meal.

This is a very nice guesthouse ; exceptionally clean and with beautiful views of Adams Rock from the balcony and the room. We had a very nice breakfast and the hosts were most helpful. Good value!

The view from this room was absolutely stunning, so peaceful and private! You get to see the sunrise and the colours of the sunset and there's a waterfall in the distance. So serene waking up to it. The hosts were amazing very attentive and cooked the most delicious breakfasts! They helped me with all my luggage and was only a whatsapp away if I needed anything. Lovely family, would definitely recommend <3

A real wow effect the moment you step out onto the terrace. The waterfall view is simply a dream. We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. It is located high up on the mountain, so if you enjoy walking, it can be quite a workout—but it’s absolutely manageable. The first ride up with own tuk-tuk was very exciting; after that, you quickly get used to it. Alternatively, you can always take a tuk-tuk from the city. But only this way do you get such a breathtaking, dreamlike view. 😍

What an incredible stay! The views from Aloft are sensational - no matter the weather. The service from the family that run Aloft view just made our trip so very special, the breakfasts are the best we had whilst in Sri Lanka. Would recommend to anyone!

Amazing views across Ella scenery, perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. Comfortable room and a delicious breakfast - the best pancakes I’ve had in Sri Lanka! The guesthouse is run by a lovely family who were incredibly kind, generous and helped organise transport for me. If you’re thinking of staying here don’t hesitate to book! I wish I could’ve stayed for longer.

We wholeheartedly recommend this place! The location is perfect — the host’s home is just a few steps from the center, and the view from this spot is absolutely breathtaking. You can spend hours admiring the surroundings and taking in the beautiful scenery. The host is a fantastic person — incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful. He is truly the best host you could ever wish for! The breakfasts he prepares are delicious and served with great care for the guests. If we visit Sri Lanka again, we will definitely come back here. Highly recommended!

“Perfect place in Ella”

Absolutely the sweetest people run this place! It is the perfect mix of the friendliness of staying in a homestay but the privacy of having your own space with the most amazing views. A bit out of town but a 15 minute walk to Ella downhill, makes it very serene.
