Overview
Southbank is a Georgian town house in the middle of Elgin and the Whisky Trail. It is a few minutes' walk from the town centre's shops and restaurants. The guest house is over 200 years old and located on a quiet road. It is popular with those keen on golf, fishing, or seeking castles and malt whisky. Close by are the Glen Moray distillery, the Elgin Cathedral ruins and biblical gardens. Beautiful beaches are 10 minutes away where you may spot bottlenose dolphins or even a minki whale. Southbank is close to museums, Johnstons Cashmere Centre, and Baxters, where you can sample a local pancake.

“My stay.”
It was a nice and pleasant stay, I was greeted by the manager who was really nice and we had a good general conversation. I booked a small room with a shower and TV and it was really nice and cozy the breakfast was exceptional and the stuff were really pleasant and always smiling which is a great start to the day.

“Comfortable three days”
Breakfast was always cooked fresh when arriving in the breakfast room. It was no problem getting more tea. Great location, as I could leave the car there in the evening and walk into town for evening meal.

“Good base for other locations and good if you are working in Elgin”
Helpful staff at breakfast & check-in. Was given a lower floor room due to the amount of bags I had. Lots of storage in the room. Not massive but plenty of room for one person.

“Excellent”
Location is quiet but close to main roads. Ideally for me it is also very close to an EV charger. Accommodation is very clean, staff friendly and breakfast serviced quickly and very tasty
