“We didn't stay here. Moved to other unit of host at 11th hour by total surprise.”
Being ambushed that this unit was not available on the first night, yet we had booked and just before check-in leaving us no room to choose alternative accommodation, and then being given a unit which had a lower rating which I had refused to book in the first place. The host said that he had forgotten to block off dates, yet when we first booked he responded with a confirmation message on Apr 24, and on April 25 a reply to a query was given. On none of those occasions was a mistaken booking acknowledged. Hence I think all along the host must have known we were coming. This forced us to opt for a unit we would never have booked due to a sub-optimal rating. So all along we were made to believe we were coming to this listing only to end up in another. We opted to stay there the second night due to the hassle of moving in light of our tight schedule, so we never tested if it was available on the second night. This is the only thing that spoilt our stay in Eldoret
