Unique place, with very friendly and helpful staff. Brreakfast tasty continental and wines are fine to suit all tastes. Wine tour and museum was interesting and shiws the heritage and ciommitment og the family to their love of the soil etc.

The room was fine but you can see that the hotel needs some maintenance! Hospitality was great and we overall we had a great stay. The including wine tasting was amazing and we really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend staying here when you are visiting in the Rioja area.

Exceptional value for money - great size room and perfect breakfast - not to mention a super family style welcome with a complimentary wine tasting and tour of the house and the valdelana family wine history who have been making wine since the 1500’s! They have a communal lounge room and kitchen which is great! The little town is beautiful though not much open after 6 - in mid October- though La Caprichosa which doesn’t look much from the outside - had some great menu of the day options - basic style but! Take a walk out to the vineyards there are plenty and it was so lovely out here such a short evening stroll away x

“A second night in the Rioja region visiting wineries.”

Checkin was easy and efficient. The Wine Tour with Maria was exceptional. This should be a must do for anyone staying here or just passing through. Maria’s explanations and delivery was second to none. The wines tasted and the explanations of them and their differences was very well done. Additionally for those who like wine tours then Marqués de Riscal is also within walking distance.

This experience exceeded our expectations and the winery tour was A LOT better than Franco Espanolas in Logroño and other wine tours we had. Our history was exceptionally good.
