“Great for a rustic stay”
The location is great for accessing El Zonte beach and amenities. It's very rustic and you feel close to nature. There is a family vibe. The pool is cool and refreshing.

“I love this beautiful place!!”
I really enjoyed staying here in this beautiful house. I extended my stay for 10 days, because I loved the athmosphere, the staff were very nice and helpfull and made me feel home. There were different events such as taco night and festival for the guests and locals, which was very nice. The garden is beautiful with mango trees. I can really recommend this chill and very nice place. Thanks for all the good moments

Nice hostel, very chilled. Pool was fab and the local staff were helpful. They have pizza and taco nights that looked like fun if you are more sociable.

“Such a warm welcoming place and people, beautiful garden and lovely dogs”
Jill and Julio are such great people, made us feel so welcome, and were super helpful and gave us a ride when we left. Big shoutout to the volunteers Lucy, Ado and Bruno as well! Beautiful pool and garden, and it was lovely with the shared meals we all enjoyed! Will be back!

Really friendly staff who give you space to relax and feel comfortable. Taco nights are a great experience to meet the locals and eat some tasty food. Mosquito nets on beds to sleep easy.

Julio, the host, is really kind and will always try to help you if he can (the staff is super helpful too), he'll share his knowledge and might take you for a tour in the backcountry if you're lucky. Oh and, if you catch the staff cooking, they might just offer you a seat and a plate to share their food. Overall, while El Zonte can seem a bit disconnected from El Salvador at times, you will leave the true Salvadoreño hosting at Casa de Colores.
