“cute”
We had a really nice stay here. It’s great value for money, very cute, and the animals around made it extra special. The staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were easy. The location is good and the view is lovely. Their taxi/pickup service offered is quite expensive in comparison. Overall, a really sweet place to stay :)

“4 nights in El Valle”
We stayed in the dorms for 4 nights. Staff and common areas were chill. The food was good. Judy, the cook/cleaning lady, was a delight. They need more common bathrooms and privacy. Doors are not solid, and only one bathroom for 6 people.

A chill hostel to enjoy the beaches and the jungle. The food is yummy, the rooms are clean and the team who work there are friendly. The hostel can organise tours for you to see all the local attractions. There is an option to eat at the hostel the lunch and dinner of the day or you cook for yourself in the shared kitchen.

Good choice for El Valle. Definitely basic , but good for the location. Good beds, good breakfast, close to beach. Variety of activities to do. Helps with getting to airport.

“A relaxing refuge between the ocean and the jungle”
I really loved that they organized a Tuk tuk from the airport and I got a message form the driver the day before. The location was very close to the beach, where you can go sunbathing and swimming during the day and surfing or watch surfing in the evening, when the tide comes in. The lounge area on the top floor was a lovely way to spend the evening - reading, surrounded by nature. The hostel organizes tours and homemade meal service that you order a bit in advance, so there is no need to go elsewhere if you do not want to. The staff was friendly and helpful, and let me practice my Spanish. :) The bar is a gathering spot in the evenings, to have a drink and chat with locals, which was really fun. On the evening when I did not go there it was not loud at all, to be in the room and go to sleep. The water in the kitchen is potable.

“It’s fair value for money but don’t expect wonders.”
There’s a rack to hang clothes on the balcony which is very handy given the climate. Staff helped us organise transport to and from the airport.

“Unsafe and Noisy”
1. Unsafe. The room we were given had no windows and the walls were unfinished (around 1m high, see the photo) 2. Super noisy. Every evening, the bar is open until late, and sometimes, there are karaoke parties. I leave the rest to your imagination (there are no walls)

“Excellent staff and good value accommodation”
Brilliant staff who were incredibly helpful in general. Breakfast is nice and the lunches and dinners are tasty and good value for the area too. Several common areas with lots of space and the bar area is great for socialising. Location is perfect just set back from El Almejal beach too.
