Screen as windows would be better

Gorgeous treehouse getaway and lovely hosts. It’s a 5 minute walk back from the beach but has a lovely view. There’s a few places to eat nearby and shops and the main town is so close. No need for fans as it’s nice and fresh to sleep in. It’s got a real eco element to it too with compost toilets and outdoor showers so it’s not just the name. Best value for money by a long shot in town and a really enjoyable experience. Virginia and co were really friendly and welcoming too. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in el Tránsito.

The double room was really nice and unique, cool at night as it’s open to the air, can see the sea from the bed, felt private and was cheap but felt like it was more expensive. Nice outdoor shower and staff were friendly

I had a wonderful time at this little hostel, and wished I could have stayed longer. The people are extremely welcoming and friendly and the open air dorms are beautiful and cosy. I loved sleeping outside to the sound of the ocean and instantly felt at home!

Amazing place. One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The family who run are super friendly and nice. The place is always clean. Kitchen facilities are top notch and the shower is very good. Five minutes walking to the beach. I would definitely recommend staying in this hostel as you get a feel for the local community and how people in el transito live.

“It's just not a hostel”

No Beautiful project. Really nice people. But it's just misleading the public calling it "hostel" It's an ecoproject. Means ecologic bathroom which is a beautiful idea but really not hygienic. No walls which means nice experience but waking up from every noise because it is in the middle of the village. The kitchen was locked pretty early without anything said about that. But still a cool experience for who might like the idea, although a bit expensive compared to other ones I've been at.

“I think this hostel is either your vibe or absolutely not your vibe”

At 10pm dogs start barking for hours right outside the room (of which there are no walls), then at 3am roosters start going, at 5am, 6am and 7am the chicken bus honks repeatedly and unnecessarily for at least half an hour so I basically got no sleep. This hostel felt like they called it an eco hostel to just not make an effort with the facilities

“Great stay, great vibe !”

The family was adorable and very welcoming, really nice vibe with the other travelers. We were renting the private cabaña, it is spacious and has a great view on the ocean, away from the other rooms. It is an eco concept place (recycling, dry toilets, etc) with cute animals (dog, cats, ...) walking around, a well equipped kitchen and hamacs to hang out. There is also a space to leave your surfboard safely and it is about a short 10 min walk straight to the beach ! We would definitely go back !!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The kitchen had everything you needed. Great value surfboards to hire. Eco focus is nice and toilets and shower were good. Hammocks we're great to chill in.

Host is so funny, the location in the Treehouse is unreal. I would definitely recommend staying here.
