Awesome spot, the place is big and nice and clean, kitchen is big and also super clean. The upstairs terrace is a great spot in the afternoon to have a beer.

Lovely little surf house right by the beach, not too busy but always someone around to hang out with. The place was such a positive surprise especially considering the reasonable price. Camille and his family are lovely hosts and do their best to make your stay the best it can be. Well equipped kitchen, terrace overlooking the breaks and a private room what more can you ask for? Highly recommended.

A great home with all you may need. The comfiest bed, coupla chilling spots and a kitchen with anything you can think of, including a coffee and a smoothie maker. Definitely recommended! And much cheaper than other joints in town

Very nice little hotel, located at only a few meters from the beach in this wonderfull beach town El Transito. Very nice french owner who will help you with tips and tricks about the region. Not only for surfers but for anybody who likes a tranquilo place to stay at the pacific ocean!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bananoz. Camillo, Mel and the family were very welcoming and gave it a homely vibe. Being on the road for a couple of months, it made us feel right at home. Super close to the beach with ocean views from the kitchen and the upstairs chill spot. Pistols surf spot right out front and El transito main beach less than 10 min walk away.

Everything (one of the best places I’ve ever stayed) The owner is a very nice, friendly and a genuine person who makes amazing crepes. Also very honest which is rare to find these days. The location is in a quiet and relaxing area of the beach but still only a ten minute walk down the beach to the busier area. There is surf right in front of the hotel if you want to surf, they also have a pool table and a lovely top deck to look out at the waves. Kitchen area to cook if you want with everything you could need.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, would highly recommend for anyone coming to Transito. The hostel is owned and operated by a lovely French family and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The location is the best in Transito and it’s a 20 second walk to the beach. Also has a great pool table and kitchen, really making it the ultimate stay. Thanks for having us !

Great place. Close to the beach, room for your own at a dorm price, great kitchen with drinking water and coffee for free. I recommend it!

The owners of the property were so welcoming and helpful. Myself and my partner both felt so at home. The location was amazing such a short walk to the beach. The room was very spacious with a lovely bathroom. All of the facilities were in great order. The kitchen was huge and it has everything you need plus great free coffee in the morning.

comfortable and clean property overlooking the beach. nice kitchen and areas to relax in. owners and staff are lovey and extremely helpful, assisted us with surf lessons and information about the tide, where to eat and transport.

I don’t usually write reviews about hostel’s but in my opinion this place ticks every box for a surf hostel. It is located about 20m from a great beach which for the majority of the day feels private. It is also a short walk away from the main beach. The facilities are great, clean and comfortable. The host is absolutely wonderful, he was extremely welcoming and I instantly felt at home at Bananoz. If you are looking for a chilled place on a budget where you can recharge and surf this is the place for you. Thanks again I hope to come back soon.

Perfect spot for surfing! Quality waves right out the front. Camille (the owner), his family and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spotless. A very chill and social vibe in the hang out area with plenty of hammocks for an afternoon snooze. The kitchen facilities were great and the free coffee was a welcome bonus in the mornings! Highly recommend staying here!

Great place to stay and super close to the beach! loved waking up to drink coffee while watching the surf. perfect surf hostel with areas to chill after surfing all morning. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, although they can get hot.
