Located in the village of El Rompido, just 20 minutes' drive from Huelva and the border with Portugal, Hotel San Miguel is a rural retreat surrounded by 6 hectares of pine forest. Location of the property is so close to town where you can enjoy the hustle of bars and restaurants, but returning to the room and listening to nature was amazing.

The quiet and Beautiful Location. Quick access from the main Road. Nice staff. Beautiful garden.

Property was very run down, bathroom switch didnt work properly, back door wouldn't close (if we didn thave shutter room wouldnt have been secure). Lady at reception was very nice but no English and we didnt speak spanish so unable to resolve.

“Fine for the price”
Budget hotel that is well positioned at 5 minutes away from El Rompido centre. Hotel has ample parking near to the rooms so moving cases is no big deal. Rooms are very basic, but clean, quiet and a reasonable size. The bathroom in our room had no shelves to put toiletries, no toilet brush and only one hook to hang wet towels after showering. Towels were changed everyday. We were on the ground floor and the patio door to the small terrace had no lock, so was permanently unlocked and could be sliden easily to enter the room from outside.We told the reception but the guy said "don't worry as there was electronic surveillance in operation !" Never saw cameras or anything else pertaining to security measures during our stay. Had to keep the persiana permanently closed ! No safe to put valuables, but it is a budget hotel after all. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant attached to the hotel, which although high prices, the quality was good. It's not run by the hotel owners, although they use it in the morning for serving breakfast if you want .

The owner is a real character in the best way possible, staff couldn’t be more helpful, beautiful setting. If they had a pool, we’d have never left! Fantastic newly set-up, very high class restaurant. It’s a long way from home but we’ll definitely be back.
