“Lovely place, highly recommend for visiting Tikal”

The room looks nothing like the photos (in a good way) - it was modern, clean and nicely furnished, everything very new! Big and comfy bed, spacious room, hot water in shower. We extended from 3 to 5 nights. Location is a perfect base for visiting Tikal, the colectivos pass by the road outside from 5:30am onwards. Also colectivos to and from Flores. There are many restaurants around and the shared kitchen was useful, just BYO matches/lighter for the gas stove as we couldn’t find any. Filtered water refills were appreciated. The family who run the place are so kind! We also adored their sweet cats and dogs, especially Freda the pug.

Very nice place, friendly owners, spotless clean quiet,nice back yard . Has very good kitchen to cook if needed. The room was very spacious, modern, bathroom with hot water!! Highly recommend

“Amazing, renovated place to stay. Great value for money”

Amazing value! I feel like the place was renovated and is way nicer than what the photos show. The location is super close to the bus to Tikal and to the center of El Remate. The owner will also give you some tips on getting there via Bus if you ask.

nice location in the middle of El Remate, the staff was friendly, very helpful and answered fast to all messages, everything was clean and comfortable, good shower with hot water, restaurants&shops nearby, perfect location for Collectivos to Tikal We highly recommended this guest house

On the main street but fairly quiet and calm. Amazing rooms, and really good price.

My room was spacious, clean, and cozy. The terrace just in from of the room offers a nice place to sit down in the morning or at night time for a chat, a meal or just to relax. In the middle of the road to Tikal and Yaxha. The bus stop going to and from Flores is just in front of the posada. Thanks to the family who did their best to make me feel at home and helped me buy my tickets to visit Tikal and Yaxha. A place that I do highly recommend.

Lots of greenery and plants around. Didn't notice too many bugs but nets provided. Owner was very helpful, arranged for our laundry to be done, helped book us a tour of Tikal and shuttles to Belize. Lovely area, able to walk to key places.

Clean, very helpful and communicative owner, good relation price to quality

“Perfect budget location”

Being greeted friendly, able to park our van inside and having the room very close to the van was great. Wifi works well (though not the fastest), ceiling fan and normal fan in the room were absolutely sufficient. The kitchen outside is great and has all you need. Your can walk out and find everything in less than a minute. Absolutely recommendable 👍

Very friendly owner and great location!

The host is simply the best. The rooms are nice and comfy with a lot of space. Lovely garden area full of pets to cuddle!

Big room, the shower is amazing (warm and a lot of water), and the hosts are very friendly. The location is perfect for collectivos to Santa Elena or Tikal.

Very pleasant stay and people who run it. Big enclosed yard to park vehicles, spacious and clean rooms, well worthe the money!

“Fine for the price”

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Free parking was on site and there was a kitchen available for use. The fans were sufficient and the beds were fairly comfortable.

Lovely, simple and clean rooms with good hot water in the bathroom. This is a family fun business and the hostess was lovely. El Remate is a beautiful village with lots to see if you love nature.

It is very cheap, so some other things are not so important. The location is good, on the way to Tikal, not a lot of things to do, the lake is only good spot here. People are great and service is good.

“The friendliest staff! :)”

Johana the owner was just the best!! She speaks very good English and was so helpful with giving us tips where to eat and helping us with booking our shuttles. Most helpful person in hospitality we met during our stay in Guatemala. The rooms are very basic but you get a bed and a shower and that’s all you need while also staying very much in low budget.

Located on the main road for collectivos and shuttle. Big triple bed room for one person. Outside kitchen.
