“An adventurous stay, what we thought would be a disaster turned into a highlight of the trip!”

We had such an amazing stay at Vila Taburiente. The location is incredible, I believe it’s the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. Mangos and avocado trees, oranges, lemons all growing. The facilitates are excellent and the kitchen is well stocked which we loved. There was a big downpour of rain while we stayed one of the biggest in many years. Getting to the accomodation requires crossing a river bed which for basically the whole year stays dry. Unfortunately one night after the rain we couldn’t cross to our accomodation. We phoned paco and he was the most gracious host. He came and met us, arranged another accomodation for us which was a beautiful apartment by the beach and he even took myself and my partner out for dinner! And he paid. An incredible host and we felt truly looked after. The following day he arranged a 4x4 to take us across the river to get our belongs are we were checking out and gave us a big hug on leaving. An amazing host, a beautiful island and a perfect accomodation. Thanks paco! We’ll be back

“If you are searching for tranquility, stunning views, and genuine hospitality in a lovely house, boo”

We had a truly wonderful stay at this lovely villa. Tucked away in a remote valley (about 15 minutes to Los Llanos), it offers absolute calmness and beautiful views of the surrounding nature. It’s the perfect relaxing atmosphere if you want to completely switch off. The villa itself is perfectly located right at the entry of Caldera de Taburiente, making it ideal for exploring. The house is incredibly well-equipped—you’ll find everything you need, from cooking gear to an iron. The owners are absolutely lovely and generous. While they don't speak English, communication was seamless using Google Translate. They went above and beyond, providing a bottle of red wine and various kinds of fresh food in the fridge and outside—a truly fantastic welcome! A quick note on nature: Because the villa is deep in the valley, in nature, you might encounter a gecko or some small ants occasionally inside the house. We personally didn't mind, as it's part of the remote experience, but it’s worth being aware of.

Property is set in a superb setting with amazing views and walks into the national park from the doorstep. It really is the ideal spot if you are looking to get away from it all. The owner also left a very generous contribution of food in the fridge which was very nice.

The location is just unbeatable. No one around, you're totally one with nature. And the view from the infinity pool is just insane. As far as the road goes: we were preparing for the worst after reading some reviews, but it seems the road has been recently paved. We had no trouble getting there and it was a pure joy to drive across it. It is, however, still la Palma. Our timing could'nt be worse when the road was temporarily blocked on the day of our departure due to heavy rainfall. The owner however helped us out (without us even asking for help) and arranged everything in order for us to catch our flight. Would and will come again.

“Sense of freedom”

The pool is absolutely amazing and very clean. We found all we needed for our stay, from salt to towels. It has a washing machine and detergent too. The road to the property is interesting so say at least. I almost got a panic attack but it was all worth it. You need a car, preferably a SUV. Taxi is not an option. Overall it was the best experience we have lived yet. If you enjoy the nature, freedom and your own thoughts, I highly recommend.

“Fully isolated”

Amazing location, in the middle of the caldera. We were fully isolated. Good size of the house. The host was great, left us snacks, coffee and fruit.
