“Charming old hotel with great character but needs a bit of work”

Beautiful old historic villa with multiple interesting and beautifully painted courtyards and flowering plants. Given spacious double room but only after asking to change original room, overlooking rubble and above the noisy smelly laundry room

Very traditional full of Mexican characters & charms absolutely beautiful. Fantastic friendly services from the owners Kelly, Sergio & his brother, a BIG THANKS to Kelly who helped us purchase Ferry tickets they all spoke very fluent English which was great as our Spanish was so very Poor..

The Mexican charm & vibes filled this Beautiful hotel also the services provided by the Owner (Sergio, Kelly & his brother) was absolutely amazing (A BIG THANKS to KELLY for getting us a ferry tickets as our Spanish is so BAD☺️ They’re so accommodating & Warms, spoke very Good English helped us purchased tickets also very informative. We absolutely LOVES this place spacious room, quiet location & Great Services very friendly staff.

Centrally located but quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel was full of lovely Mexican art, masks, artifacts, it was a joy to stay here.

Beautiful building and decor. Lots of amazing artwork - masks and paintings and other interesting things. It was like a museum. Comfortable beds. Huge rooms. Nice places to sit outside rooms. Refreshing though small pool. Friendly staff. We’d definitely stay again. In fact we did - we missed our train.

The decor was unique. It is a beautiful hotel. Nice staff. Clean,spacious and comfortable room with decent AC (very necessary at the time). Close to centre and the river for walks.

The El Fuerte Hotel is filled with beautiful art and very interesting architecture. It is right below the historical fort which is well worth a visit. We loved our room and the staff were great.

Did not offer breakfast. The gardens and interior courtyard and room decore was fantastic. We did not have hot water for showers and the mattress was substandard. Staff was amazing.

Excellent building, really interesting. Room was big and very nicely decorated. Two minutes walk from the main square. The room was well equipped.

This is a beautiful hotel. The colours, the decor, the style, it was really nice to come back to. It is a little older but had everything I needed and was great for the price.
