Located in El Chaltén, a favoured trekking spot in Patagonia, Thiamalu offers alpine style-inn accommodation and tour plans to explore the impressive natural scenario. Wi-Fi access is free. At Hostería Thiamalu, guests are welcome to enquire about a 30-minute trek to Condores y Aguilas scenic viewpoint. There are also several trip plans that include visits to the Fitz Roy mountain ridge and glacier. Hosteria Thiamalu is decorated in a homely style with cabin style furniture and rustic details in wood and stone. “Great place to stay for a few days of hiking”
Very confortable bed, well-heated room, with a towel heater in the bathroom, very useful there where it can get really cold (we were there mid November). You can park the car is front of the room, very convenient. The breakfast was great, with eggs fruits and avocados (the typical Argentinian breakfast is sweet only, not sufficient when you go hiking the whole day). The owner was very arranging, you can pay by PayPal. The location is perfect because you are a few blocks away from the center, so there is no traffic or party noise but it takes you less than 10 minutes by foot to reach all the restaurants.

“A great stay with a helpful host family!”
It has everything you need! and unlike a lot places, the heaters can be turned on and off by yourself, and the heater in the bathroom is automatically on always - making the towel warm and fluffy! I loved it! Ale the host is a really nice and thoughtful lady. She brings breakfast every day to your room so you could eat comfortably, and she always brought extra food and tea to ensure I’m fed! Her boy Nacho is also very nice and lovely.

“Great short stay”
Super simple and nothing fancy but everything you need. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful and provided delicious breakfast in the room every morning (COVID protocol). Free parking just outside the rooms and good location. Everything is pretty near in El Chaltén anyway.
