Gorgeous location

The location is fantastic and ideal for walking. Unfortunately, the weather in early spring was very poor. A place to stay in the summer.

“Wonderful place for a quiet rural getaway”

This is a delightful little house in Los Manantiales, a remote hamlet of a dozen or so houses. There is a lovely view of hills and barrancos from the window, and also from the sunny patio. The shower was hot and the WiFi was solid. The bedding was plentiful for the cold nights that are possible here, although we had pleasant weather in February. There is plenty of heating in the house. It's about a 20-minute walk to Chipude where there is a restaurant, a bar and a small grocery shop (closed Sundays).

We had a great time and experiences staying in this place, proper village experience, nice apartment where we felt homely, beautiful view from terrace, quiet, great contact with nature, apartment clean, good for cooking, warm covers, electric heaters, warm water... Everything that you need. Happy to come back in a more sunny time to appreciate the surroundings. Mist morning was amazing. Almost No people around.

“Lovely rural place (not for someone afraid of insects)”

First I have to mention the insects. They are centipedes that look like black worms and with humid weather they will be all over the place. Unfortunately we got the worm weather and I was truly freaking out during the first night, fearing I would wake up with thousands of centipedes. That did not happen. There were dozens inside, but they are harmless and after the first shock you'll get used to them. Secondly, please note that the location of the place is quite windy and cold compared to coastal parts of the island. We stayed 3 nights in March and the temperature outside remained around +12. You'll have radiators for each room so you can get the place warm. Except from the insects and the cold (both of which you can't escape if wanting to stay this part of the island), the place was absolutely lovely, peaceful and the views were breathtaking. The location is perfect for hiking in the national park. There is a buss stop nearby (lines 1, 4 and 6) so it is easy to explore other parts of the island as well without your own car. Please note that the paths around the place require moderate fitness. Bathroom and kitchen were clean and well equipped. Remember to bring your own drinking water.

Amazing experience! Such a peaceful and beautiful place. Very remote - good to consider as there are few buses daily, but you can rent a car in advance. We used buses and it was totally fine too - it just takes a bit of planning so you make them. Absolutely wonderful as we wanted a break from busy places. Bonus - friendly cat! Sensational views. Very helpful host who was available for a question over the phone.

Fabulous location, and a wonderfully cosy accommodation, excellently positioned for many hikes. I had a hire car, but even without, there is very good local bus transport (& frequent taxi service) to the closest village, Chipude. Gem of a location.

Quiet location with a beautiful view in the rural landscape, hiking paths around which are also connected to the national park. Supermarket, restaurant and taxi are on the walking distance from the apartmet.

Splendid location, view and terrace

“Beautiful farmhouse with great walking options literally on your doorstep!”

We stayed in the 2 bedroomed/3 bedded farmhouse for a couple of days and it was stunning! The views down the valley are to die for, and there is plenty of great walking on your doorstep. The property is very well equipped with a washing machine particularly useful on a walking holiday. The kitchen is well equipped too. The bedrooms have spare blankets for the winter nights, and each has a small electric heater too. Chipude is a 20 minute walk away, where there is a supermarket, 2 or 3 bars, bus stops and taxi firms. All in all, highly recommended!

In a very beautiful location, we didn’t want to leave, very helpful key person. Lovely and very special place all round. Immediate access to walking paths - including Alto de Garanjay, 2.5 kms. Also lovely walking path to the shop in Chipude. We will come back here!

In the middle of the mountains, well equipped kitchen, great balcony with stunning view, clean, very very spacious - biggest apartment we had.
