The property is magical. We could have coffee looking at the arenal volcano whilst listening to the birds sounds… magical. Restaurant staff was very kind and for my daughter who celebrated her birthday there (and is lactose intolerant) they prepared a special breakfast and again we celebrated at dinners… very sweet

The surrounding area is just perfect - hummingbirds and different birds are simply everywhere. The view of the volcano is amazing. Very peaceful place and 100 % recommendation from our family. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant deserves to be visited for dinner - we've had the best passion fruit juice here form our whole Costa Rican travel. The reception manager was also very flexible as we had to change our period due to an unplanned plane rescheduling. Thank you all!

This is a great location to base out of if you like being in a quieter area than the busy La Fortuna. The view out the window or from the restaurant is amazing (if you get clear weather). The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good as is the rest of the menu at the restaurant onsite but there are some other options for meals nearby without driving all way to La Fortuna too. We loved staying on the quiet side of the lake and would come back again for the location and the quiet.

We had a lot of rain so didn’t see much of the volcano but we still had some great views from our room. The restaurant serves good food (the Valentine’s meal was excellent!) and cocktails. The views of the lake and volcano from there are also wonderful. The staff were outstanding. Rolando and the other waiters were super friendly. Danielle the manager was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a great time despite the power cuts due to a storm!

“Beautiful, but a few extras are needed.”

Lots of pillows, enough kitchen extras. Fantastic views - not only the Volcano and the lake, but also the gardens, where the hummingbirds worked all day just outside our balcony. The sounds of the rainforest and the birds could entertain for hours. I'm sad to be leaving them. The gardens were well-maintained with a lighted walkway. The food at the restaurant was tasty, and plentiful. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Free hot breakfast with wonderful homemade ham. So much to do nearby, can book through the hotel. The view alone is worth the price.

Everything was perfect! The view from the room was magnificent, and it’s clean and spacious room was good to be relaxing. the atmosphere was tranquil and peaceful, and we could enjoy the beauty of nature. All the staff were friendly, especially Ms Daniela, the reservation manager & receptionist, was so kind and gave us full of assistance for our stay. Thank you, Daniela! The breakfast and dinner were very tasty. Strongly recommend for everyone. We definitely want to stay again if we come back to Costa Rica.

“A beautiful villa with a once in a lifetime volcano view.”

The view from the property is absolutely stunning and out of this world. The restaurant also has amazing views and the privacy of the villa is great. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch as it was so beautiful.

“Terrific location and outlook and lovely room but disappointing restaurant”

Stunning, peaceful hillside location with magnificent view, abundant birdlife and flowers in the garden, away from the grockley bustle of La Fortuna but close enough to all the activities around Arenal. Friendly reception. The room was clean and the large balcony was a real bonus in the hot weather; the small kitchenette was also useful. Large en-suite bathroom. Overall, it offered good value for money in this tourist hotspot.
