We had a fantastic stay at Mabra Suites in El Calafate. The accommodation is brand new, extremely clean, modern and finished to a really high standard. Everything felt high quality — from the bedding and furnishings to the bathrooms and shared spaces. Our bedroom also had underfloor heating, which was a lovely touch in the Patagonian weather and made the room feel especially comfortable and cosy. The location is excellent, very central and easy to walk everywhere from. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made a huge difference. A small piece of advice for future travellers: there are no Ubers in El Calafate, so it’s worth either pre-arranging your airport transfer with the accommodation or using one of the mini bus transfer desks at the airport when you arrive. The airport itself is very small and easy to navigate, and the staff at the transfer windows were very helpful. The shared mini bus transfer cost us 14,000 ARS and was very straightforward.

Excellent location, close to restaurants! The hotel is brand new, the rooms are very spacious and have a sink and a mini fridge which makes everything very easy. Absolutely will come back!

Great newish small Hotel, only 3 levels. For breaksfast they will cook your eggs, also fresh squeezed orange juice. No restaurant, but a cafe attached where breaksfast is served. Close to all the shops and eateries.

Very convenient location near the centre of town, also operates as a cafe. Friendly staff, very clean, spacious and modern accommodation with AC in the room. Breakfast was in the cafe attached to the accommodation and offered bread, sweets, cold meats and you could get scrambled eggs on order. They also had almond milk available on request. The staff also helped to order taxi transfers from both the airport and to the bus terminal with easy communication via WhatsApp.
