Overview
Situated on a hill at the gateway to Calafate, the 4-star Alto Calafate Hotel provides a warm environment and gorgeous views of the Argentino Lake and the Cerro Calafate. In addition to its quiet rooms with plenty of space and comfortable beds, the Alto Calafate assures your relaxation offering a spa and an indoor pool with a lake view. The on-site restaurant and bar are another highlight of this hotel. Be sure to try the roasted lamb and the exotic cocktails in these places while admiring the unique panoramic views. The hotel's Spa has two heated swimming pools, one small and one large, perfect for swimming and exercising. It is surrounded by gardens and the magnificent scenery of Argentino Lake and the Cerro Calafate. This area is open from 09 am to 10 pm. Internet access and a shuttle to the city are provided for free. The shuttle reaches the city in a 10-minute drive during the day. The 600 m2 multipurpose room offers state-of-the-art technology and views of Argentino lake. It can accommodate up to 650 people.

“Quality low, price high!”
The location is gorgeous with a nice view on top of a hill! The spa and swimming pool are amazing with 2 pools including a large hot swimming pool. There is a large very convenient sauna!

“Not worth at all”
- fridge not working and second employee just for decoration - broken bedroom curtain - I was woken up at 1am by the employee's failure at check in, charging me the daily rate - the worst crumbled eggs: burned and old - artificial fruit juice - nevera no funciona y segundo empleado solo para decoración - cortina de dormitorio rota - Me despertó a la 1 am por la falla del empleado en el check in, cobrándome la tarifa diaria - los peores huevos desmenuzados: quemados y viejos - jugo de fruta artificial

“Very nice view over El Calafate”
Very nice hotel located on the top of a hill above El Calafate. We had our own car but the hotel offers shuttle service in the afternoon and evening into "downtown". Staff was very nice and helpful. They even let us change our rooms to a more silent part of the hotel when we did not have a good night sleep in the first rooms. Hotel has a nice and large lap pool, pretty warm and another smaller pool as well as a nice gym area with a view. Breakfast choice was plenty, buffet style.
