If you want a very quiet /remote place, you may enjoy this hostel - I didn't. I do not recommend this hostel.

“Super friendly hostel”

This is a hostel where you experience argentinean hospitality and warmth at its best. We were welcomed by both the hosts and other guests, we did asado many times, yoga in the morning with mountain view, and we loved the neighbourhood which is more local and authentic el bolson and less touristy. Really recommended even though you have to walk for 25 minutes to get to the center. The host augustin and his son Jonas are just amazing people.

Very nice hostel with family vibe. Staff is super cool and the place instantly feel.like home. Surrounded by nature and a bit outside the city. Augustin, the owner is very helpful and always on some missions, there is some yoga sessions in the morning, sometimes some pizza night or assados in the evening. There is few cabanas but I stayed in the main building with some other guys. It felt like we had a house for ourselves, very easy to meet ppl and socialize over there.. the place is very laid back and friendly. I would highly recommend the place.

The volunteers made the atmosphere here truly special. Sol and Kaled who were masters of the asado and cooking in general. The location is a little out of centre in a relaxing garden setting with hammocks. If you like a rustic community feel then this is the place for you.

I liked that Tomas and Agustin are very welcoming. As soon as we got there, they offered dinner and eating a warm cooked meal was perfect for a very cold day and after about 20 days eating out! The guests are very chilled and outgoing and it has a familiar vibe as if we knew each other for a very long time, so if you are looking to meeting people and feeling like home, this is your hostel!

The atmosphere is great, the garden is a beautiful place to relax and the staff are friendly. It's set out of the hustle and bustle of the town, close to the river, nice and quiet.

Definitely my favourite hostel that I stayed in during my travels in Patagonia. Tomas and Augustine are incredible hosts and incredible chefs!

The staff is very friendly! The hut is cosy, with a nice kitchen area to cook and also socialize with other guests. Shower is good and clean!

What a wonderful place! We had a lovely large room, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and were able to store our bikes. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

La casa del viajero summarize the essence of el Bolsón. I was travelling alone followed by Booking comments and had no doubts to extend my stay for few days. Tomás is a great host, they organise random asados with other guests, and it is perfect location to enjoy the slow-motion athmopshere of the town and do some trekkings within the mountains around.
