“Better than we had even anticipated”

This spot is an absolute gem. The location is like something out of a fairy tale and the house was very comfortable with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host (we only met Gina) was so lovely and welcoming. We should have booked for a week at least. There is so much to see in this part of Norway.

Mallabu is a jewel! Gina and Kjell Gustav are the nicest and perfect hosts. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. The house is beautifully decorated with matching furniture. Every comfort is available to spend the perfect stay here. The whole house is very clean and in a very quiet area. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend Mallabu. If we come back, then only here. We wish you many more nice guests.

It was a great house with a wonderful view at the mountains, with some waterfalls. It’s also close to a stream. The house was recently renovated and was comfortable and clean. Very friendly owner.

Fantastic hosts, house with a history at a superb location at Eidfjord.

Everything was really great, especially Gina our host is friendly and warm in her heart. Everytime we will come to Eidfjord we will stay there if its possible.

The location of the house is magnificent between the mountains. The house is very comfortable and clean, we had everything we needed. Gina is very, very kind and helpful. Everything was perfect, it was one of our best stay ever! I really hope to visit the lovely house and Øvre Eidfjord again!

“A wonderful stay!”

The setting is beautiful between high mountains next to a running river. We enjoyed exploring the surroundings like the Øvre Eidfjord hike (see the Alltrails app) and the beautiful views from Kjeåsen a short drive away. The accommodation is an old charming building renovated to a very nice modern standard. The house was clean and well equipped. There is a full kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms, and two toilets (one with a shower and laundry). Gina was a very helpful and service minded host.
