Overview
Located on the Altmühltal Cycle Route, this non-smoking guest house in the Old Town district of Eichstätt offers Bavarian and Mediterranean food, a traditional-style beer garden, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Only 200 metres from the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, the Braugasthof Trompete has bavarian styled bright rooms with soundproofed windows. Most rooms were renovated in the beginning of 2018. Rich buffet breakfasts are prepared at the Trompete. Regional and Italian dishes are served in the Trompete’s country-style restaurant. Cocktails can be enjoyed at the bar. Free parking outside the Trompete Braugasthof is possible upon availability and on request. Nuremberg city centre is about 80 km away.

Location was perfect, breakfast was fine, staff were very friendly. My pasta in the evening was delicious, and the weissbier was nice too.

“Hotel with plenty of atmosphere.”
Warm, comfortable room, close to town centre, good breakfast, good reasonably priced evening meal, restaurant was very busy with the locals at lunch and dinner time so having a booking is necessary. English spoken by many of the staff which was very much appreciated.

“Nice hotel, but noisy”
The hotel is small, with a restaurant on the ground floor. The room was small, but included all you need. However, a small table and chair would have been useful. The room was clean on arrival and the personal was very helpful with some small issues I had during the stay. The breakfast is ok, not very much to choose, but good quality.

“Nice place and Eichstätt is beautiful”
I had a lovely stay here. Everyone was kind and helpful. Do try the restaurant. It has a great menu of Bavarian favourites. The room was spacious and it was super easy to get to the museums and fossil sites from the hotel. Can definitely recommend.
