Overview
Appartements Al Castagno is situated in the centre of the Kirchplatz in Ehrwald. A ski bus is located just a minute’s walk from the apartments and has services to the ski areas of Ehrwalder Alm, Zugspitzbahn and Zugspitzarena. A private balcony, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi are featured in all Al Castagno apartments. A dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine are included in the kitchens. Italian and international specialties are served in Al Castagno’s restaurant. Snacks, ice creams and cocktails are also offered. Golf Club Zugspitze-Tirol is only 2km from the apartments. Excellent mountain biking and hiking routes can be found in the areas of Blindsee and Mittersee, which are only a 10-minute drive away.

“Great value apartment with some caveats. Need to align expectations”
The apartment was in the central square of the village, so the location was fantastic. It was exceptionally spacious, beds were comfortable and the kitchen and dining area were well equipped, spacious and useful. Having 2 bathrooms was also very useful, and overall we felt at home.

Factually incorrect information provided in the description. There is no washing machine in the apartment (only a common washing area which is far removed from the apartment where we were staying). There is no dryer at all!

“Comfortable room with fully equipped kitchen in old farm house with astonishing mountain view”
It's right at the heart of Austrian Zugspitze area, with a breathtaking mountain view (either Sonnenspitze, Wannig and Grubigstein, or, on the other side, Daniel and Zugspitze). A typical old farm house, nicely renovated, with an italian restaurant on the ground floor. A room has a large balcony with lovely flowers. Kitchen facilities were superb: clean, versatile (even a dish washer was in!), barely used (we cooked every day with pleasure). A good match to the gorgeous landscape around!

“I was a very nice, pleasant stay with a beautiful mountain scenery.”
The location of the apartment was amazing. The rental place was in the same building and a delicious restaurant is part of the building as well. We arrived with train and busses and I was initially concerned of being able to get around, but the bus network worked great and the busstop is right in front of the building.

“Too noisy for family with kids and elderly people”
The apartment we booked had a good equipped kitchen. Although was on the second floor but had an elevator. Ehrwald is a lovely village with mountains surrounding. Perfect for walking, hiking, mountaineering. Tasty ice cream just below the apartment.
