“Wonderful boutique hotel for a relaxing stay”
Fabulous stay at this boutique hotel. The location is great, overlooking yhe lake. The rooms very spacious and extremely comfortable - great bed and power shower. Staff were all really friendly and the breakfast a feast. Icing on the cake was the hot tub, which I could see from my room (no 6), which was warm and inviting (despite the drizzle)

“A perfect stay in every way”
Hotel 1001, near Egilsstaðir, is owned by the husband-and-wife team Ástvaldur Erlingsson and Kristín, but managed by Wojciech and his wife, an amazing 35 year old couple with skill, confidence, poise and grace. We enjoyed a thermal hot tub dip before a wonderful dinner. Our room was clean, quiet and well appointed with a great view. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. A perfect stay.

We come here the 2nd time. And definitely would come again. The place is great , the owners are so nice and welcoming . If you want to detox from a big city and crowds - that is the place At the same time with an excellent service and food

“Nice stay in a great location”
Hotel is in a great location, the rooms are modern and spacious and for the price we felt offered good value for money. Breakfast again was good value for money and tasty.

The amazing view from the room. The service we got was so helpful. It seems like a family managed hotel and they were so nice. The breakfast was great with freshly product. We didn't know that there is a free coffee machine next to the lobby.

Location, rooms very comfortable. No TV but you really don't need it in this location. Breakfast and restaurant was very good.

Hotel 1001 Nott is fantastic, a really great stop if you're on the ring road and want to relax in comfort. The restaurant is really great, I had one of the best vegetarian meals of my trip there. The rooms are cosy with lovely views of the lake and the hot tubs were a fantastic surprise. We saw the Northern Lights there which was a bonus!

Lovely location overlooking the lake. Super modern rooms, spotlessly clean & spacious. Easy parking & use of a golf buggy for moving your luggage. Very good breakfast.

One of the best and most charming hotels in Iceland! The staff is extremely nice, breakfast and dinner were delicious, the rooms were spotless. We had the king suite that came with a separate living room, which we loved. We’ll definitely return here.

“For what I paid, I expected much more.”
It is important to note that, in general, the level of service in Iceland is very low and costs are very high. Therefore, it makes no sense to give very high ratings. A high rating is given if the hotel/apartment is fantastic and equipped with all amenities or if the value for money is exceptional. Neither of these two cases applies in Iceland. The feeling that all tourists have is that they are victims of a system where everyone tries to earn as much as possible in the few months when there is high demand. The entire hospitality policy is therefore flawed. Let's move on to the accommodation: Posizione molto bella, anche se molto fuori dal paese. Camere piccole ma molto pulite
