Our tiny house was super cozy. Isabelle, the host was very kind. She was a life saver because our car brpke in the middle of the road and she waited until late night to check us in. Also, the next day she kindly offered and gave us a ride to the nearest city where we could rent a new car.

I appreciated a small bottle of wine and biscuits when we arrived. There was coffee and tea for breakfast. Everything was cleaned and perfect.

The perfect tiny house near Eglisstadir- we loved it! Beautiful location, cosy house with a wood fireplace and comfortable couch. The hosts were lovely and left us treats for Christmas Eve. We also enjoyed the discount for Vok baths. Although we didn't get to see the Northern Lights due to snow/clouds- it was still a lovely stay. We woke up to a winter wonderland on Christmas day.

EVERY DAMN THING! I cried just sitting in there when the really nice host left. I cannot describe what i felt in there but the owners build it themselves. You can see it in every detail. I missed nothing and would have wanted to stay there forever. Thank you guys for this amazing experience!

“Beautiful private accomodation near a nice lake”
The owner was super helpful and kind, very understanding to our plan changes, because we traveled a long way and I had an injured ankle. The location was truly awesome, close from the Egilstadir town, where you can easily get lunch/dinner and buy groceries. It was also very private and secluded, with nearly no light pollution, so it was a great place to hunt Aurora. Also, the famous lake with the icelandic version of a Loch Ness monster is right underneath the property. There is also a nice waterfall about five minutes driving from the cottage and the famous studlagil canyon ain't too far away. The property was very cozy and yet modern, with private bathroom, functioning kitchen and even a fireplace with wood just ready to be lit. It offers a nice view outside the main window and even through the one in the roof. Everything was clean and quite new. We really recommend this place, it is a bit pricey but worth it.

Cosy, cute and everything you need. Comfortable beds and a beautiful outlook. Thanks to the owners Isabelle and Stefan for recommending the Basalt Columns stop on our way to Myvatn! Lovely people, who clearly put their joy into the cabins! Can’t recommend enough!
