A special place with the old buildings. Yes buildings, as it’s several houses the are now one hotel. It’s a bit of a maze. The bed was ok, the room very clean, a very good bathroom, good breakfast and friendly staff (it wasn’t easy for them as there was a strike, as in many hotels).

When the hotel room cost 2000nok per night, I don’t think one should be also charged for early check-in OR for breakfast as we were.

“Good value for money, fantastic breakfast.”
Fantastic breakfast - home made strawberry, as well as raspberry jam! And the freshly baked bread: amazing! And the helpful receptionist who we rented bikes from, and who explained where to get to "Gamle Jærbanen". Very affordable parking too.

“Would return!”
Good site just a short walk away from the centre but in a quiet side street. Long-established hotel amongst many old buildings, but facilities not dated at all. Communal areas well-appointed comfortable and welcoming. Staff very friendly and helpful. Single bedroom had a comfortable bed and excellent shower room.

Breakfast was great and maintained at level even when a bus of elderly people swept over the breakfast buffets. A special note for the fantastic collection of wines and quality of the dinner. Impressive.
