“absolutely brilliant”

Janet and Colin were fabulous hosts, nothing was to much for them. They answered all our questions and were available if you needed them. The property was amazing, plenty of room, very comfortable, clean and tidy throughout. The pool was fantastic especially in the heat that we had, Colin kept the pool clean and tidy throughout our stay. The huge selection of activities (table tennis, badminton, the pool, many outdoor games and the bikes) were brilliant, lots of family fun was had. The surrounding area to visit was extremely interesting, park and ride to Rennes is brilliant. Overall our family had a relaxing,fun holiday which was just what we wanted. Thank you Janet and Colin

“Peace and tranquility acheived.”

We were looking for rural. We were looking for peace and tranquility. Both were achieved in spades. La Morinais is a large gite set amid the farmlands and owned by Janet and Colin, a British couple. Whilst they are unobtrusive they are available if the need should arise. The gite has four bedrooms and is very accommodating of eight people. In our case the we were a multi generation family and the layout allowed the older of us to escape the younger element. The provision of three separate toilets was helpful. The gite is comfortable and everything we needed was provided and the attention given to provide games etc to occupy us in the large grounds was admirable. These included table tennis, badminton, a bean bag game, bicycles and the real bonus was a heated swimming pool. We could easily have stayed longer than our ten days and would happily revisit. Above all, for a large family La Morinais represents excellent value for money.

Colin & Janet couldn't have been more welcoming to our family and even our dog who was sometimes a nosy parker! We immediately felt comfortable in the property and they were always on hand when needed but also left us alone to settle in and enjoy the space. The property itself was very nicely presented and had everything we needed for a lovely stay.

La Morinais -July 2024 A relaxing couple of weeks @ La Morinais, Eancé A warm welcome from our hosts Colin & Janet - with a very generous basket 🧺 of delicious 😋 treats, thank you. La Morinais proved a great base for our visit to northern France( in and around Brittany)- we visited the recommended Nantes enjoying Le Petite Train that was perfect for showing us around the key Tourist areas of the medieval city, then on to the small seaside town of Saint Nazaire - which had a lovely promenade area. Our favourite small town visits and not to be missed were definitely Dinan, we enjoyed a walk around the walked town of Saint Malo followed by a cycle along the sea front followed by a fabulous visit to Mont Saint Michael- which we felt was right out of a movie set 🎥. The lovely little market @ Vitre on the Tuesday was - also worth a visit and a fun Saturday @ Senonnes Hippodrome - horse 🐎 racing - not to be missed if you’re lucky enough to be here when it’s on! Laval Historic town and riverside was enjoyed by cycling around the key tourist points suggested by the local tourism shop. We were also welcomed locally at the bar in Eancé during their monthly community market/evening and a fab couple of evenings in the Bar @ Senonnes where we joined the locals to support France during the ⚽️ Euro’s as well as playing French garden games with the local jockeys from the village- they were all so welcoming. If you have your bikes there are some lovely quiet , safe and flat routes all around the local farms or you can adventure a little further afield. We cycled from Chateaubriant to Rougé and back on the cycle track which used to be an old railway line - enjoying a picnic in the sunshine by the amazing Chateau. La Salle Croanaise - Water Park for fun adventures also worth a visit! Attic Brotanque was our Sunday morning adventure at Chateau Gontier- basically the same as a UK Car Boot sale!

Hosts were so very welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. Super clean and comfortable accommodation. Peaceful location with nice pool.

Absolutely lovely hosts, the property was perfect for a large family, everything you need and swimming pool was great. Would definitely go back. Very remote which is awesome if that’s what your looking for.
