“A great and enjoyable stopover”

A remote farmhouse situated next to Duwisib Castle. Rooms were clean and rustic with views overlooking a great landscape. Dinner was a buffet style home cooked food. Our host was very welcoming and was happy to join us for a fireside chat after our dinner. Breakfast offers were limited but freshly cooked.

“A perfect farm stay”

The room was huge and clean. The area was nice to have a break from driving. The castle next door was ok, but not really impressive. I loved the fact, that Jochen had everyone sitting at the same table and that we ate all together. Jochen himself ate with us and was the perfect host. He has a lot of interesting stories to tell. The evening dinner was excellent and the staff very friendly.

Beautiful tranquil spot in the desert after a long drive. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the company of Jochen, our gracious host, with his interesting information about life in Namibia. We also had a wonderful swim in the pool. Stunning scenery.

Location, views, friendly owner and staff, a green oasis, the best dinner in Namibia, learning the history of the place and the castle, large room, the stars and absolute silence at night and the gift shop (good prices, bought an ostrich egg). Ask about the rhino stone...

Beautiful area, great accomodation, friendly hosts. The food was very nice. We enjoyed the walk to the sunset hill. We really enjoyed this stopover and hope to be back one day.

I loved the ambience and quirkiness of the place — it has so much character! Dinner was excellent, paired with a great selection of reasonably priced wine and the hosts were warm and welcoming. The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A perfect blend of charm and quality.

Amazing dinner, best steak I have ever eaten (oryx)! They were also amazing at adapting for gluten free, as one of us was a celiac.
