“Spacious budget option”

Great value for money. What stood of most is the receptionist, who really went above and beyond to provide good service. He was always looking for a way to help or make the experience better. The hostel is spacious, with a big common area with a view over the city. The dorm rooms were also wide and spacious, with even a private sitting area within the room. I had the room to myself for the 4 days I was there. Air-conditioning available, which is crucial in summer (although it does turn itself off at night). There's a kitchen. Wifi available (standard Tajik speed). Warm showers, towels provided. Good location with public transport nearby, and a 24/7 supermarket in the same building. Great option for the price, have recommended to others already.

“Great quality for a dormitory stay”

The atmosphere in the hostel is very pleasant, thanks to both the staff and the tenants. Our dormitory for girls was super cosy, very clean and included its own bathroom. The kitchen was very large and fully equipped. The price is reasonable for the high quality hostel. We couldn't reach internet before our arrival so it was a bit tricky to look for the hostel in the street. Actually, the street was easy to find, but there were more blocks on the spot. If you are in the same situation, look for the building with the 24/7 supermarket and the restaurant (their proximity is great advantage for your stay). The entrance is from the back part of the building. Or ask in the restaurant, they are extremely nice and helpful. They helped us and a waiter accompanied us to the entrance door. :)

This hostel was very dirty, under my bed it was full of garbage. The floor was full of hairs and dust (even in the kitchen) It seems that was never been cleaned for the past weeks. When the people of the room left they never changed the bed sheet for more than a week...I had to look for another place to stay because it was a nightmare. CLEAN THIS PLACE, IS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!

“Flamingo Hostel Dushanbe”

Pro: -easy to find the address (especially when you locate by Google map, the apartment is just by the side road) -maybe 30 minutes of walking to the attractions but is a nice walk since it's a spring season, I love Dushanbe so many flowers. -there is a 24/7 supermarket below the apartment -there is a restaurant below the apartment (I had a green tea lemon and qurutob as recommended, it was a nice meal but the portion was too big so I ended up bringing it as take takeaway). -good to have a female dorm and shower in the room with hot water (the dorm is quite spacious) -you can do laundry for a reasonable fee, there is a washing machine with no dryer but you can hang your clothes on a drying rack. -there is a lift/elevator because the hostel is on the 9th/10th floor -there is an AC in the room -taxi & marshrutka are just in front of the apartment so easy to get around the city -is easy to cross the road because of the connection tunnel -10 minutes walk you can find bank/atm, telco shop and others. -Very nice and good hosts especially my Muslim sister from Russia. She makes my stay very pleasant. Thank you, Anna.

The room is very clean and spacious. Access to center is easy. Supermarket and grocery is very near by Flamingo. The host is very kind and polite. I strongly recommend everyone.

The accommodation was very pleasant. I spent more than a week in this hotel. It is ideal for relaxing after a trek in nature. Really wonderful space for reading, work and conversation.

“Quiet and cozy”

I stayed here before and after my Pamir tour, and it's a very nice and quiet hostel. Before my tour, my room was completely full but afterwards it was rather empty, so it really depends on your timing. Beds are comfy, and the hostel is pretty clean. The common space is very large, and the furniture is comfortable. The small library is also a huge plus The location is a bit far from the city center compared to other hostels but all you need to do is take a bus which takes about 30 min (with walking included). Otherwise, there's a supermarket and restaurant in the same building that offers all you need. Btw, try shakorob and kurotob in the restaurant -- very tasty! Amriddin works in the mornings and afternoons and he is great and super helpful.

Clean, spacious and bright, where you can stay comfortably. The staff is so friendly and he let me store luggage here when I went to the Pamirs. Would like to come again next time! Definitely recommend staying here when you come to Dushanbe.

The dorm room’s very spacious, also they have big common room and kitchen. Amridin, the reception was very nice and helpful. It’s also quiet, which I kindda need to rest after tiring hikes

“Great place to stay in Dushanbe”

The guy who works here is super gentle and nice. Sheets smell nice and clean. Toilets have good plumbing and no sewage smell (can happen in Central Asia) There is a good restaurant for food and a supermarket at the bottom of the hotel - very convenient!! We stayed a second time because we liked it a lot. Able to do laundry here easily :-) very important for traveling

“A comfortable and large place, well located!”

What a gem in Dushanbe, our initial guest house booking got cancelled so we last minute needed to find an affordable stay. We booked the suite and it was the size of a proper apartment. We did a laundry load for free and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
