Very pleasant stay in a quiet town, (May day bank holiday.) Cafe was busy for ice cream and delicious looking cake Bikes were kept safe in locked room Some rooms seem to be refurbished but older rooms have great space

The hosts at this accommodation were very friendly and helpful. We are 3 single males who arrived on bicycles and they had no problem storing them. The property was very clean and had every thing we needed. We would all recommend this property, especially if you arrive on bikes. Thanks

Nice place, near the center of town with several really nice bars close by. The bar below the accommodation was very good and the lady who checked me in was quick and pleasant.

“Good location and good value”

This hotel is in a great spot above the owners wonderful pasteleria cafe, where you can get coffee , juice, cakes, pastries, waffles, bocadillos, anything you want for breakfast really. It’s opposite the Parque estación which is a quiet space with colourful fountains, a kids play area, and benches to take time out in the shade. My room was a basic twin st a very good price, beds were clean and comfortable and the shower en-suite was adequate with plenty of hot water after a short wait. Air conditioning did the job but was a bit noisy and the flap didn’t oscillate but kept the temperature bearable at night during the 40deg August heatwave.

Basic room! No tv stations available or evening meal available on our stay. Parking poor in the extreme. Location good but would not stay there again for half price!!

“Decent enough hotel for my needs”

My review score is lower than I'm sure it would have been because, once again, having specifically chosen an hotel with easy parking plus a restaurant I fell foul of it being closed on the day of my booking. This time it was a Monday. However, I was contacted the day before by phone and received information as to how to gain entry to the hotel, this time via a coded key box by the hotel entrance door down the side and back of the restaurant. It was easy enough to get into the hotel (although the large cast iron door was extremely heavy and hard to push open) and find my room on the second floor via the lift in the lobby. The room was a decent size with twin beds and a large wardrobe. The bathroom was adequate with, as is so often the case, quite a small shower cubicle and a shower head with a mind of its own which drooped unexpectedly at the drop of a hat. If I’d know in advance that the hotel would be closed I could have researched where other restaurants were located. As it was, I walked into the town centre and, not seeing anything I fancied on the way, eventually settled on the easy option of Restaurante/Café/Bar Central in the Plaza de España which was decent enough, albeit a bit more than I wanted to pay. Because things didn’t go as planned it was a rather disruptive evening. The hotel was in the perfect location for me (I always like it when I can park outside a place) and the accommodation great for the price I paid. The restaurant/bar was open and busy in the morning so I had my tostada & café and headed north.

“A perfect place for a no frills and value for money stopover in Durcal”

We arrived late at night and thought we were locked out because there are no staff there after 9pm. which was quite worrying! But we managed to ring a member of staff who was very helpful, it turned out I hadn’t seen a message she’d sent me. She helped with the code and we got in fine. She was very helpful. The rooms were simple, nice, and clean. The Pension is next to the most wonderful pastry shop/cafe. Staff were nice and friendly.
