A bit last minute accommodation but was handy to town

Great facilities, we enjoyed the communal rooms including the tv lounge area on the middle floor! Showers were warm and clean. Private room felt cosy and comfy.

The property is well-located, relatively close to the city center. It's an interesting retro-style building with surprising features. The upstairs kitchen and library are also nice, as are the views of the city from the balcony. The property was clean, and the staff were very friendly.

“Lots of character but the loud building puts you at the mercy of other guests.”

Its a converted private hospital (skull drilling, leeches) with a great view of the city perched in an elevated spot half way up High Street. The Top floor houses the double rooms, up out of the way of much of the traffic. These are quite tight since they were nurses quarters back in the day. My room was quite cosy with a heater and a good usable window 'with a view'. There are a few good spots to chill outside in the back garden or up on the third floor balcony. There is a commanding view of the city and harbour. The main kitchen is well up to the task and the showers are powerful. Plenty of lounge areas to chill out. Busy uptown vibe.
