“Must stay place”

Last stop for our south island road trip. The place was stunning, The staff were super welcoming. It included the tickets for Larnach Castle and gardens. Definitely recommend anyone going to dunedin to stay there.

“Dissapointing Castle Debacle”

The bed was comfortable the room and establishment was clean and very elaborate the view was breathtaking. The Camp Estate itself is a very upmarket and five star establishment.

Room was exceptional and the facilities are first class. The one table dining is a great concept to get people talking.

We were met by our hostess Laura who was friendly and efficient. She was a very charming lady who gave us lots of ideas as the weather wasn’t great and she had a lot of local knowledge. Our room was quiet and did have a lovely view which revealed itself after a few days! We had an evening meal in the castle which was excellent. A fun experience for everyone.

Very individual and right what was needed. They have a Jura Espresso Machine and can make perfect coffee, Cappuccino and Espresso. Eggs are made to your liking and also pastry available. Room Temperature control is very good since there is AirCo but also extra Heating.

Lovely spacious and clean room and nice to be offered a drink in the evening. We loved chatting to Patricia over breakfast

Palatial premises. Excellent staff. Great meeting other tourists to share our adventures with. We also enjoyed the Trust the Chef degustation dinner. It would be great if the chef could come out and speak with the guests.

Camp Estate is located on a fabulous spot just a short drive away from Larnach Castle. The property is exceptional and beautiful with the entire team there being welcoming and friendly. We were a bit apprehensive about what to expect given this property is at the upper end of accommodation available in Dunedin (and not cheap), but we weren't disappointed and the entire stay and experience was enjoyable. We met some lovely people also staying at the property and enjoyed their company at dinner and breakfast. We had dinner at the castle (booked separately) but a small and lovely touch was that our host Amy remembered that it was my birthday and had organised with the castle team to provide a small dessert cake and candle! The cooked breakfast and selection was also exceptional.. thoughtfully prepared and served by the lovely morning team. We stayed in Room 3 which had the best view and were blown away by how peaceful and beautiful it was outside our window.
