Overview

I share my a heartfelt compliment about Javier & Elena - the owner of Casa A Pichona --- "Exceptional care beyond words – a hotel that feels like home." This is far more than a hotel stay. The owner Javier & Elena of “Casa A Pichona” personally went above and beyond any expectation, driving me to another city to see the doctor (medical centre & pharmacy). That level of kindness and dedication is something you rarely, if ever, find. The hotel itself is a gem – delicious, home-style food that comforts both body and soul, thoughtful amenities that show true attention to detail, and service that is both warm and professional. Every need was anticipated. If you’re looking for a place where the owner genuinely treats you like family, this is it. Thank you for turning a stressful time into a manageable, even comforting, experience. Highly, highly recommended.

Comfortable hotel in idyllic setting. Evening meal was exceptional - warm goats cheese and walnut salad with a delicious dressing and excellent bottle of wine too. Reatored my strength after a hard day on the camino, i would love to stay again.

“This was a wonderful stay on the camino with wonderful hosts.”
A beautiful casa. I was able to have tea on arrival and every comfort catered for. The chef cooked a special vegan meal for my daughter. Our meals were delicious. This was a wonderful stay on the camino with wonderful hosts.

“Perfect stay with warm welcome”
Beautiful and very clean room and very friendly owners who made us feel so welcome. They served delicious home-made dinner and breakfast in the dining room overlooking the hills. After our arrival we spent time in the garden which is located right on a little creek. The house is located in a very small and quiet village just off the Camino.

The rooms and whole layout were tastefully decorated. Staff very friendly and tried to make us feel welcome. The owner even brought us by car back up to the Camino to Finesterre way in the morning. Food delicious too.

“The most beautiful Casa”
One of the most perfect nights on our Camino, and such a lovely change from an albergue. The Casa is so beautiful and the lady who runs it is not only friendly and helpful, but a fabulous chef. She made the most amazing salads for dinner. The room was lovely and the large garden the most relaxing place to wind down after our hot walking day. Dumbria is a beautiful place and this Casa is just perfect. I would definitely recommend staying here.
