Everything from the location and food to the host family was unbelievable. Khatuna and her family were really kind and incredibly hospitable hosts. The accommodation was perfectly prepared, and everything was spotless. We tried traditional Chechen food and drinks, which were amazing and really worth trying. Nearby, there is a really nice museum, a traditional brewery, and wonderful mosques. Definitely a must-visit in Georgia.

“Authentic Kist home stay”

A great opportunity to enjoy a home stay in Duisi and learn about Kist culture. The host is extremely welcoming and will make you feel at home, and is very willing to share cultural information and organise local activities. We enjoyed a lovely local cuisine cooking class. Meals are delicious, authentic and abundant. The garden is beautiful to relax in.

Immaculately clean and a huge bedroom with access to a lovely big kitchen and bathroom. The kist food cooked by Khatuna was exceptional and totally unique to this area. A lot of it was grown in the guest house garden. We felt like we were supporting the community by staying at this place as we'd also booked a cultural walking tour through the guest house. This was very insightful into the history of the valley and the people who live there. We stayed a little longer to watch the Zikr ceremony at the old mosque so Khatuna arranged taxis back to Tbilisi for us. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful guest house.

Everyone knows that travelling can be wonderful and exhausting at the same time. If you are looking for a retreat in the Pankisi Valley and would like to be pampered by an attentive host who takes care of you with delicious meals and that little extra service, Melissa's Guesthouse in Duisi is the right place for you. I spent two nights there in a spacious double room and never missed an opportunity to enjoy the lush garden with its beautiful flowers.

Feels like home,one of the best places we've ever stayed. The guest house had a homey feel,with serene surroundings. Everything was just perfect,spacious room,clean. The host,Madam Khatuna was very helpful,attentive,friendly,generous and served great,authentic Georgian Chechen food. We recommend staying at this place with all our hearts.

Guesthouse is nice and clean, there was everything what was needed. The food was perfect! We loved local Kist cuisine! We also enjoyed the workshop with Khatuna on how to prepare their national dishes. We loved our experience there, and we felt like a family members :)

I travelled to more than 30 countries and I felt very encouraged to write this review due to the great hospitality. Basically everything you need in a property exists there. It’s very comfortable with a great location not far from supermarkets, stores and bus station. The place is very clean and I find it a high value for money. Khatuna and the owners are very friendly and generous people. I felt very welcomed and would definitely repeat it.

“Beautiful garden”

Even though we booked very last minute the host family were very welcoming. Our room was comfortable and there is a guest kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. We were able to use the washing machine too. The garden is absolutely beautiful and we loved spending our evenings sitting outside. The family treated us to fresh fruit, tea and sweets at every opportunity! We asked for dinner one evening and the food was very tasty. We didn't try the breakfast. It's well located to see the sights of the area. Also, you can park your car on the driveway.

“Home away from home in Duisi”

I felt at home at Melissa guesthouse! The house is beautiful with such a lovely garden. Khatuna is a very kind and caring host. The food is amazing. The house has a long history and hosts religious ceremonies. Khatuna can also help direct you to the Duisi mosque to attend other ceremonies. She can also put you in contact with people in Jokolo to organise cultural tours. A really nice place!

A comfortable and well equipped guesthouse with lovely hosts. We’ll remember Katuna’s beautiful home cooking, and our mornings relaxing in her gorgeous garden for a long time.

“Quiet neighborhood, comfortable house, amazing food”

Owner was super nice. There was a thunderstorm at night so power was out for an hour and she provided us hot tea and flashlight. House was really spacious and comfortable. Our bed was wide and sheets were clean and smelled fresh. Room was big and furnished. We didnt use the kitchen but it seemed that everything was there. Also we liked breakfast a lot. Food tastes so much better if its all homemade and you can enjoy it in a beautiful garden. We wish them all the best and hopefully we will return someday.

A truly memorable stay. Glorious breakfast under an apple tree in the garden. The delicious pumpkin khachapuri for dinner. Khatuna's kindness and warm hospitality. The room was extremely comfortable. I was sad to leave.
