Overview
This Bavarian castle hotel in Duggendorf overlooks the River Naab, 26 km from Regensburg. It offers rooms in an English country style, free Wi-Fi, a sauna and an award-winning restaurant. Dating from the 12th century, the Hotel Schlossresidenz Heitzenhofen provides recently renovated rooms with satellite TV, a minibar and safe. They feature their own private entrance and a small front garden. Breakfast is served in the Jägerstube restaurant with open fireplace. The traditional Schlosswirtschaft restaurant offers excellent French cuisine and Bavarian specialities. The Heitzenhofen’s beer garden is open during the summer. The surrounding countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling. Guests can rent bikes directly from the Heitzenhofen. Free parking is provided.

“Excellent castle, we will come again for sure”
This is a very cozy and beautiful hotel with excellent German quality, an amazing breakfast, and friendly staff and owners. We were even lucky enough to visit the sauna before going to bed, which we really enjoyed. This is our second time staying here, and I’m sure we will come back again.

Although it was written on Booking that your child would stay for free, I was additionally charged 10 euros. I don’t know who this question should be addressed to – the owners or Booking – but the fact remains. Another drawback is that the streetlight shines directly into your eyes when you’re in bed.

I was traveling with a motorcycle and the place was perfect for a night. There’s an outside private parking. The staff were nice. The room is clean with a clean bathroom.

“Nice experience in an old castle0”
Nice experience of an old castle, some details are kept from that time. Location next to a river and a restaurant, countryside. Around 18km to Regensburg. Clean rooms, comfy beds, nice lady at the reception, kids books and games in the family appartament that has 2 bedrooms in separated by entrance hall.

“I had a cozy stay and everyone was friendly.”
It's a very charming place surrounded by beautiful scenery. The woman who helped me was very sweet and easy going. I stayed well past check out drinking coffee and working in the sunroom. It was very pleasant.

“Little dream place!”
It exceeded all expectations. Picturesque little village on the riverside, calm and quiet. We stayed at a "garden house" which was excellently clean and well equipped. So cozy and welcoming! With a perfect garden view just from your bed which was also very very comfortable! People helping us were extremely nice and made us feel at home. Thank you so much for your amazing place!
